I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this place.

I have never done anything like this before but the idea sounds very intriguing. I realize that I could likely travel to that part of the world independently. However, I really can’t see myself learning enough Spanish to be able to negotiate with girls, etc myself. The idea of everything being taken care of sounds great, if it doesn’t turn out to be a scam of some type (hence, the reason I would like to hear from people with first hand experience). I was thinking of going next summer.

I have been to Marg Island. It's true what they say about Venezuelan girls, they can be very beautiful..something about the gene pool lol..especially facially...great! And their bodies...well, I couldn't say enough!!

Or you could stay at the Hilton on the beach for about $100USD, and pull the strippers from the three clubs a stones throw away, over to your room for the night...for about $100.00. She may not speak English so well, but sometimes this can be a bonus lol...she will however know how to say 'one hundred American Dollars" very clearly, and there will be few if any restrictions.

marg island is a little like cuba in one way, the autos are all vintage, but not quite as old as Cuba. The cabby will be driving a 66 chevy belaire with at least one broken window, and likely no window handle knobs. You will wonder if you are going to be robbed on the ride from the airport, because it has that type of feel to it...but you can relax...you are safe (if he has a license).

The island is relatively safe for the inexperienced traveller. It is a favourite vacation spot for South Americans in our low-season. Your dollars will go far.

One thing to beware...if flying to Marg via Caracas , which is as far as I know, the only way to get there from MIA, unless you want to island hop from Trinidad or the ABC's on a Venezuelan airline (think "Aroflot with broken seats and a DC9), be VERY VERY careful in the Caracas airport. And definitely do not venture beyond it. I have even heard stories of the clerks at the terminal AA desk telling passengers their seat was not reserved and they were bumped onto the next flight...only to be robbed at gun point in the airport. Things could have changed in the last few years, since I was there...but not likely.

There are tons of places to go in the Caribbean as a solo traveler pooner. This is one...and its way down at the bottom of the carib ...a long way to go!

One can go from MIA to Curacao and then Caracas via Dutch Caribbean (think Aeroflot) or via Trinidad using bewee. Of course, a major might offer direct flights depending where you live - as always, YMMV.

If Curacao is any indication, Margarita Island should be fantastic.

Anyone wanting to try something way off the beaten path might visit Paramaribo. You can choose from several incalls @ 40 hr, most popular is the Diamond. There are several asian incalls. Overnight is 100 - ask a cabbie, or the clerk at the Torarica. Population is 40 % black, 40 % east indian and 15 % Indonesian, so you can find stunning mixes. IIRC the hottest were Indian / Indonesian hybrids - absolutely stunning.

You won't find anything in Marg close to that out door bar/brothel compond in Curacao, close to the airport..I forget the name of the place, but it is really someting to see. However, the talent in marg I think is much more attractive, and about the same price.

I may take up the offers to PM people for information on alternatives after I have had a chance to do some more research on my own and am in a better position to ask intelligent questions and benefit from your advice (likely in a few weeks). I'm not sure why all this talk of going through Miami. IMNSHO that is an airport to be avoided at all costs (unless you enjoy spending 2 hrs in line with 500 people who need to photographed and finger printed). Air Canada has a non-stop flight to Caracas that goes 3 days a week.

Well, I'm going to chime in here with a recommendation for Costa Rica.

San Jose has girls 24/7 in the Blue Marlin bar. There are Dominicans, Panamanians, Cubans, Hondurans, a few Russians, & Costa Ricans. You can get a great hotel with breakfast included 1 block away from the Blue Marlin for $100 U.S./night. Girls will start their negotiation at that figure, but can be had for less, especially during the day. Also, there are some great MP's that are even cheaper. There's all kinds of info on the internet for this kind of stuff, the site I used when I went a few years back appears to be gone. Costa Rica is fairly safe, relatively cheap and a great time. If anyone wants more info, feel free to PM me.

BTW, I took a Delta flight for about $700 CAD return, short stop in Atlanta, which was OK. I too would definitely avoid Miami airport.

I had a look on this site,as I was not aware of it.

Maybe you didn`t scoll far enough,it is run out of Hamilton Ontario,with a Hamilton phone number and head office address..ta..da

From what I saw it does not seem like a scam......I`m going to investigate this out myself for my next spring vacation,much less money than the Viking resort in the DR.

Hope this helps you to decide, but like the other guy`s state don`t travel through US airports if you can avoid it, and don`t be put off by their negative statements about Caracas airport, thing`s have changed for the better since 9/11 at most airports.
