Advice - New to Ottawa

So….new to the Ottawa scene but not an inexperienced punter. Seems like it’s fairly limited other than LL and the ones that get my attention are more than likely scams. I’ve read the advice threads on spotting scammers but it seems like its an issue here and nothing replaces recommendations. While I’m happy to walk away if not to my liking, the runaround (which I guess is a red flag) is very annoying. I prefer hosting outcalls as I’m more relaxed in my own place and hopefully can make them feel the same. Looking for recommendations on spinner types, younger or mature is all good and slightly nasty (In a good way) Enhanced would be a HUGE bonus but not a deal breaker. it may be like trying to find a Unicorn I know. Prefer BBJ (don’t we all) and MSOG. Don’t need the pressure lol. Budget is fairly generous for a multi-hour but not at some of the ridiculous rates I’ve seen. So there it is. Looking forward to any recommendations or LMAO responses

So you created your account very longtime ago only to post today ? Maybe you are the scammer. What criteria do you use to determine if a post on Leo list is a scam ?
There are so many provider who are non verified on Leo list who provide great services than the ones with verified accounts. I have 3 in mind that I prefer not to mention their names.
As usual , there is Leo list , tryst link etc to search a companion with spinner body etc . Everyone experiences is different. .
Again your YMMV .

Sorry about that. I didn’t realize I had a finite amount of time to post something or that my question came across as being a scammer. I’ll try to dumb it down in the future. If I find a SP that I like (or don’) I’ll be sure to post a review.

Regardless of reviews you are free to it or not but again YMMV . Some SPs have a DNR policy !
I saw your post not on something to cheer up SPs but to cheer down some SPs without any mention of your criteria of what is a scammer SPs .Maybe you can us understand your criteria about Leo list scams ?

Reluctant to tell my criteria as scammers could be using this information to refine their posts. But since you asked and will give you the benefit of the doubt that you’re not one of them…Some examples. When ethnicity is listed as something that is obviously not reflected in the photos. Dimensions that are out of whack. 67lbs…really? Phone number that’s from somewhere in the southern US. Email response that has a male name. Photos that are waaaayyyy to good. I am used to directories where you get what’s advertised without exception. Can never tell attitude from a pic which is what these forums are good for.

Huum I see ! I rarely see a Leo list post with all theses red flags ! There are read flags on some profiles but not all the profiles.

But you created an anon SP account for Terb (for what idk) and your comments come across as very critical and antagonistic. Which doesn’t exactly promote a positive experience for clients looking for Ottawa SPs.
Poor guy is just looking for reliable sources to find SPs in Ottawa… maybe instead of picking apart his post you could make some welcoming and helpful suggestions.
Ottawa gets enough of a bad rep because of people’s “customer service” skills. Or lack of…

If you’d like to see more respectful clients supporting the SW economy here in Ottawa, maybe don’t chew them out for asking genuine and respectful questions. Just a suggestion.

Also, to the OP, as other members mentioned, you’ll have better luck finding real providers using Tryst.link or OIC oicompanions.ca most of these providers you can also look up here on Terb for reviews. You’ll save yourself a lot more time rather than sifting though LeoList.

I personally don’t think he was trying to promote a positive outlook on Leo list users ! He talked about the girls he liked while browsing Leo list and thinking all of them are scammers . I asked him his criteria for thinking if a post on Leo list is scam or not . I rarely saw on Leo list unverified post of scam. Because I know some who are unverified and have social media accounts . So I see them advertising.Even if they are just traveling here . Even the ones who don’t have social media presence and are verified on Leo list .
I told him he can use Leo list , tryst link etc ! You added OIC which can be a good option too !

I was reading a thread where some men on here decided to sabotage a SW by doing some stuff…..This one of consequence of recommendations .

I actually agree with this guy about LeoList. His concerns about scammers are 100% valid.
Many providers, including myself have stopped advertising there because of how many scam ads there are! Unless you’re paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars to stay on page 1, your ad easily gets lost among the fake ads.
Sure, there’s still real providers using the site. No ones saying there isn’t. But it’s pretty dismissive to say that his concerns aren’t valid.
His comments weren’t a personal attack on the real providers using LL.

Instead of getting defensive about LL, you could recommend him to SPs in Ottawa who you know are real, have good reviews and might fit his criteria. Being helpful instead of criticizing a client’s post is going to do more to support your business and others in Ottawa. And hopefully turn around some guys opinions about the quality of providers in this city.

One underused resource to avoid being taken advantage of is to find a network of girls who all duo together, and take your pick of who you like from the list on their website. It's hard enough to fake one nice website, never mind 6 interconnected websites, all interconnected X accounts. Even if you don't duo, its a great way to vet companions to ensure they are legitimate.

Another great resource is the Ottawa Independent Companions website - https://oicompanions.ca/
(my browser always tells me there is a security problem with their site, but I just click to continue).
It has about 40 girls, all independent, all real.

The other benefit is that once you see one of the girls in that little clique, then you are verified with all the other girls in the clique as well.

To McKennas point with so many of the well known providers around the city dropping off Leo for their number of reasons, is a website and good social media a better use of their financial resources? I get the defense of Leo because of cost but more and more it seems Tryst, twitter, and now OF has more of the good and less of the worry. Is Leo close to a speed wobble?

For me it’s a simple ROI
I’ve tried LeoList and many other platforms.
It’s simply not worth the investment IMHO.
Reputation & credibility are going to be your biggest assets in terms of marketing yourself in this industry.
I’m not going to invest my money into a platform that is going to have people questioning the credibility of every single ad they come across.
Having a website, and being on a platform that requires you to verify your identity already drastically improves your business model by increasing your credibility. Being active on social media, as well as being part of a collective where you are verifying providers in person and mutually vouching for each other is also another way to stand out amongst the sea of B&S or scammers.
Reviews can be helpful as well. But they do very little to vouch for the credibility of a provider since reviews can be fake or posted by the provider themselves. so these should always be taken with a grain of salt and further research should be done as well. It’s a very nuanced industry. And we have to keep up with the changes as technology continues to advance. we now have to compete with AI providers on social media trying to scam people as well.
Anyways, I could talk about this topic endlessly…
But my main point was to support the OP as his concerns are valid and shared by many clients across this forum. And we as providers should be offering as much reassurance and supporting one another in order to keep the industry in Ottawa thriving and scam free.
