Odd, seems like something thrown together quickly. Not much info on what exactly will be going on from noon until 9 pm, and no mention of who the promoter or the sponsors are, or details on which 'vendors' will be in attendance. Anyone have more info?

I know I wanna know more about it as well. the Toronto sex show is not til October or November, and with AVN coming up in January and then there are so many other Expos going on you would think they could make this one match all the others. Even Adult Webmasters Toronto was full of porn stars and that was a nerdy expo of internet porn pushers and affiliates.

So I think I am going to wait til the day before of the expo before I buy my ticket.

My guess is that the promoter doesn't really have a clue what's going to happen other than that he's booked some pornstars and is charging close to $30 a ticket. He's booked pornstars for club appearances in Toronto so my guess is that it will be along similar lines: i.e., the pornstar will do meet-and-greets, sign some autographs, and probably take some (clothed) pictures with fans for a price.

That said, they've already got bigger named pornstars than the Toronto Sex Show has ever had (at least all at the same time) and that show, from what I've heard, is pretty dismal so this one can't be any worse.

No Toronto sex show is ever going to come anywhere close to the AVN convention in Vegas. For the simple reason that there are hundreds of pornstars within a few hours driving distance from Vegas vs. on the other side of North America for Toronto. And despite what you might think, Toronto is by no means a centre of porn production.

Very true.
Unfortunately, it's going to take a real commitment by a promoter to build a Toronto "AVN".
Toronto is an untapped market when you compare it to the rest of North America. There are so many events & conventions in TO, I think a Toronto "AVN" can work -- it just takes years to build it.
