Its true, it's on kitkat on my Nexus 5 and can be disabled if you want. Great phone! Only complaint (like all smart phones) is the battery life. But I only got it yesterday and have been playing with it.BTW for Android users:
I read that the new Android release coming will have the option to do Google searches of phone numbers and display results if incoming phone numbers are unknown to your contact list. Now you will know if it is a return call from your plumber or a telemarketer.
Zing!Seems to fit:

Apple makes the majority of their money from advertising?DJK, you can't tell me apple isn't about advertising themselves ( as well)?
You're right. Most people buy their phones without contract, unsubsidized from their carrier. Not so.

Happy? Only the Note 3 is close but it's a phablet, a different category of phone.
Wow. If you didn't read the thread, otb argued that google's business model doesn't keep costs down for top of the line phones. Clearly it does. Are you disputing that the majority of people buy their mobiles on contract?
And I just checked Bell's website, the iPhone 5S starts at $229 on contract. Interesting how you chose the most expensive model for the iPhone 5S but not for Samsung. Are you, what's the expression... avoiding the evidence? LOL.

Bot was talking about comparing the top of the line phones on Android (Like the Galaxy 4) with the iPhone:Wow. If you didn't read the thread, otb argued that google's business model doesn't keep costs down for top of the line phones. Clearly it does.
And yes, since bot was talking about top of the line phones, that's the numbers I quoted.
Nobody said anything about majority, you did. I'm simply saying Apple makes money from advertising as well.Apple makes the majority of their money from advertising?
