Perspective
From the many women that I have spoken to and met, there seems to be a rivalry of sorts between people who work in different aspects of the sex industry.
Remember the days of the Playboy Bunnies - well the Bunnies and the Playmates disliked each other. Each side thought what they were doing had more self respect.
From what I gather women involved in the sex business, and it does not matter at what level, tend to enter areas that somehow fit their beliefs or psychology. A Waitresses at a strip club, shooter girl, Stripper, MP, SP, Dominatrix, Slave, porn actress - each one of them thinks they are in the part of the business that has the most self respect.
I personally cannot say that one job is better than anothers. Its a matter of what makes you comfortable and appeases your expectations. I have friends who think working for an adult news site somehow degrades me. I also have friends in the business who look upon others who have *square* jobs with a sense of pity - believing THEY live lives that offer no self respect.
Ultimately, I am willing to bet the creators of that documentary suffered from the same mind set. And a good deal of what and how they portrayed the information probably reflected that belief.
One cannot look at the careers that people have and claim one is better then another. I think the context in which that career was chosen makes the difference.
I do believe I am rambling.
Oh and by the way, I have not seen the documentary LOL
