I don't know how I feel about this one. The Yankees resigned him to a 10 year contract even after he admitted to PEDs and after he opted out of his initial 10 year contract which caused New York to lose the money that would have been provided by Texas. New York does not deserve to be able to get under the 189 mill threshold that easily and reset their luxury tax bracket for the next 7 years.

He has stated he will fight the suspension in federal court. However from what I have been reading federal judges have very little appetite for overturning a decision made thru an arbitrator, especially if the process has been agreed to by both sides and is part of a collective bargaining agreement. I assume his lawyers will argue the process and the arbitrator were set against him from the start. I hope the suspension sticks as A Rod has in my opinion always put himself above the game of baseball and his fellow players.

A Rod has agreed to accept his 162 game suspension. He has dropped his lawsuits against MLB and the players union and will agree to sit out the 2014 season. I guess he finally woke up and smelled the coffee.

It's a matter of self preservation, he doesn't want to become the next Pete Rose.

Hopefully with my face in a pussy
I have no love for him, but I was hoping he would fight and win. Out of all the people being hit with suspensions, he was, as far as I know, the only one who had NOT tested positive. Yeah, he most likely used the juice, but that isn't the point, they had no hard evidence. On top of that he was hit with a suspension many times longer than anyone else. Why? Because he's an asshole? He is, but if we suspended every athlete who's an asshole every sports league would have to fold.

they had no hard evidence.
You can be sure that if the case against him was so week, he would not have given up. They must have enough on him that he knew he could not win.

Almost impossible to have an arbitrators decision overturned in US courts.
