Do people like the guy and his music, or is he another flash in the pan??

What is terbs' take on Sam Roberts?

I love his stuff, but he's not really 'new' to the music scene - he's been around as an indie for at least two albums prior to his current release.

While I like to see Canadians do well on the music scene - I'm not convinced that he's the "real deal". Although, I think his appeal will clearly be with the under 25 yr old crowd - and I'm long past that - so I'm not the best judge. I guess time will tell.
