I agree djk. It is so easy to use the Nazi's and Hitler as metaphor but in reality the terror of the Nazi regime is far beyond the actions of Bush or many other's that are compared to Nazis. I fear that these comparisions serve to diminish the terror that the Nazi wreaked on our world.

I believe what the Bush government has done in Iraq is wrong but it hardly puts him in the same league as Hitler.

I wish I could agree with you that this kind of attack only serves to turn off voters. Unfortunately studies have shown that the negative advertising during election campaigns in the U.S. has been quite effective.

While I strongly disagree with using Nazi symbolism I would suggest that you might want to have a look at the 30 second ads from a contest sponsored by move on.

Well I just went through the Move On site. Incidentally a group I had never heard of before. What I found was that the info on the RNC.org site was somewhat slanted. The Move On organization was running a contest to have people make 30 second ads. The Nazi ad may have been submitted but they have little control what will be entered in the competition. What they did was whittle the entries to 15 which will be judged to determine the winner. The Nazi ad is not among them.

It never ceases to amaze me how the politicos twist information to misinform the public. They know as well as I do that the majority will read it and not spend five minutes trying to determine if it is accurate.

Everyday there is less hope for democracy.

MoveOn removed it due to complaints from the RNC and the general public.

In regards to the RNC spinning this story - there's not much spin for them to do.

Someone entered the MoveON contest and created this ad.

MoveON hosted it.

MoveON only removed it after the general public and RNC (ie. not the foaming at the mouth we hate Bush liberals that frequent MoveON) complained about it.

Cheers,
