I know that K Dpuglas is a big fan of the Philly Sound.....Black covers White..turn about is fair play lol

Agreed.

Albert was known for being a bit crusty. He did have a good relationship with Stevie Ray Vaughan though, as Stevie respected and obviously admired Albert.

Not to mention copying quite a bit of Albert's style.

I was lucky enough to see Albert live at the "Whiskey a Go Go" in LA of all places, back in the mid 80's. He put on a great show!

I love this song. Originally written and recorded by 10cc. Dee Dee got a voice and she did a great cover of it. You're right I love the Philly soul to death. She married one of the Godfathers of the sound Kenny Gamble. Smart move by her.

Yes. Elmore was famous for that "Dust My Broom" riff that he used on so many songs.

Just one riff, not hard to play in open tuning with a slide, but what a riff!
