I follow Boiler Room on YT but didn't know this one existed until this morning. Pete Rock is one of the very best hip hop producers of all time and I've never seen a DJ set from him before. This is mint.

Before Billy Ocean exploded in the 80's he was still putting out some quality stuff. The intro reminded me so much of The Four Tops "I Can't Help Myself"

One of the best instrumentals of all time. Herb Alpert's "Rise" released in 1979. The bassline is epic and courtesy of Louis "Thunder Thumbs" Johnson.

Of course famously sampled by the Notorious B.I.G. on "Hypnotize"
