Still have the CD - A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

Engine engine #9
ON the N.Y. transit line
If my train goes off the track
Pick it up, pick it up, pick it up

When that was played in the club the dance floor went mental.

Early 90's hip hop was a vibe. Right smack dab in the middle of the Golden Age. Boom Bap style on the east coast, G-Funk on the west coast. Also the jazz fusion was present around that time. And the crossover hip hop/r&b sound of the New Jack Swing was in effect. I spent so much time in record stores like HMV in Square One, Traxx on Dundas St W in \Mississauga or downtown Yonge Street stores like Starsound, Sunrise or Sam the Record Man. There was also a store in the Rockwood Mall at Dixie & Burnhamthorpe where I would go to sell or buy used vinyl/CDs. Looking back I'm actually kinda shocked I never worked in one.
So in honor let's do a little medley here of one hip hop song released in each of 1990, 1991, 1992 & 1993

Funky Technician - Lord Finesse (1990)

You Can't Play With My Yo Yo - Yo Yo feat. Ice Cube (1991)

Represent - Showbiz & A.G. (1992)

Catch a Bad One - Del tha Funkee Homosapien (1993)

Just heard this one the other day, can't say that I knew this one. The only song I was familiar with from them was Please Mr. Postman
Don't Mess With Bill - The Marvelettes (1965)
