Red House over yonder.
Luther Allison - Once Luther Allison and The Blues Nebulae

The Prez first met Luther Allison soon after he quit his job in a tractor factory in Peoria and began playing in Chicago, Milwaukee, Lake Geneva, and at Marshall Shapiro's Club Nitty Gritty in Madison WI.

He lived for many years in Paris.
After he returned to the US he had by then added his son Bernard to the band. After I introduced myself to Bernard they invited the Prez backstage for some champagne and leafy intoxicants.

And now it's star time. Are you ready for star time?
Here he is...
- the Master of the Telecaster -To put a little glide in your stride
- A little dip in your hip
- One of the few first generation blues men still performing live today (then).
Luther Allison!!!

Jr Walker and The All Stars
Shotgun Baby...
Shoot It For Me Right Now!!!
According to wiki, Jr. Walker played the saxophone solo on Foreigner's song Urgent (although he's not the person in the video):

" Mark Rivera, Foreigner's regular saxophonist on albums and tours throughout the 1980s, played rhythmic sax on the song, including the recurring siren-like riff. The iconic tenor saxophone solo was performed by celebrated Motown multi-instrumentalist Junior Walker,[2] who was coincidentally performing in New York during Foreigner's album sessions and agreed to contribute. "

Very weird lyrics...

I'd call it "eclectic" lol. Check out some of their album and song titles. Very unique I must say.
I am somewhat familiar with this band as I recall their big hit single back int eh 80's "Walk the Dinosaur".

Saw that movie in Montreal at the Van Horne theatre on Cote Des Neiges when it was first released 1972 or 73?

The only english language movie I had ever seen up to then that needed sub-titles.

Bought the soundtrack album, and got into reggae and ska big time...

Before that my only exposure was "The Israelites" by Desmond Dekker, "My Boy Lollipop" by Millie Small, and a couple of hits by Johnny Nash, all of which crossed over to Top 40 radio before that time.

And for delusional old guys like me...

This was played so much in the clubs back in the 90's. A timeless classic. Another dancehall classic by Supercat
