I don't know where else to post this so I'm going to share it here. Its a pop song from the 80's but this remix really gives it a soul/dance/house vibe. Credit goes to one of my Twitter contacts for putting me on to this. Its bliss

Dougie.. i got a few more " gut bucket soul" songs in my collection...........i cant claim credit for the phrase...years ago i read a book about the history of Soul Music..and the author used it..........and it seemed a unique and perfect way of summerizing that type of Soul.....the type i love.....heartwrenching Ballads.....in the 60,s while kids my age were caught up in the British Invasion...i was hopping from record store to ecord store trying to find that specific genre...i even drove to Buffalo on ocassion with my Dad to search...i was hooked..

Been playing this tune a lot recently. Its infectious. And sampled by several hip hop and R&B artists over the years

Not given sample credit but the bassline on Dennis Edwards "Don't Look Any Further" sounds very similar

Funny. I used to drive from Winnipeg to Grand Forks, North Dakota at least once a month back in the late 60's, cuz they would get all the Motown LP releases at least a month or two before they were available in Winnipeg...

Quincy was a genius. Great collab with Ashford & Simpson and Chaka Khan.
