nice.....great way to start the day.......if i remember right the story was that Archie was doing a tour of duty in Vietnam, shortly after he recorded this song...and was there when it became a big hit...

When I was growing up I used to think Teena Marie was sorta like bubble gum R&B because of songs like this. Jesus I couldn't have been more wrong. Its amazing that as you age you come to appreciate vocalists like Teena more and more. Her vocal chops are stuff made of legends.
