Just watched the film the The Five Heartbeats (1991) last night for the first time in ages. Great flick starring Robert Townshend and Leon. Its a loose biography of 60's Motown artists like the Dells. Great soundtrack too, both of these songs charted. Of course if you're familiar with me you'd know that After 7 is my ATF r&b/soul group.

An early Gamble and Huff production. I did a series of posts, last year I believe, paying homage to their production brilliance. For me they are right up there with the best black music producers of all time. Love that Philly soul.
