Very catchy tune. You keep them comin too.
buried gem
oh and BTW...keep them comin, Dougie
Nice voice...a hip hop regaae feel...but i wish the background instruments were a bit "tougher"...stronger presence of thumping drums, and guitar work....but hey its all good BTW im talking about the Mary j Blige tune....I forgot to mention this earlier. On Thursday hip hop lost one of its pioneers. Mark Morales aka Prince Markie Dee from the Fat Boys passed away suddenly just a day before his 53rd birthday. I first saw the Fat Boys when I watched the movie Krush Groove in 1985. Never really got into their music but I always appreciated their contributions to hip hop, they were the first hip hop act to beatbox on wax. Here's a couple of their more recognizable tracks.
Stick Em
Can U Feel It
Morales also teamed up with Cory Rooney and they wrote and produced music for Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Mary J. Blige, including several songs on her debut album What's the 411?
Real Love
I think her voice got better as she matured. The vocals on her subsequent album 'My Life' were deeper, crisper and more powerful. The drum beat on 'Real Love' is a sample of Audio Two's 'Top Billin' a classic 80's hip hop jam.Nice voice...a hip hop regaae feel...but i wish the background instruments were a bit "tougher"...stronger presence of thumping drums, and guitar work....but hey its all good BTW im talking about the Mary j Blige tune....
I agree better guitarist than vocalist but his vocals weren't too shabby either. My favorite of his.Muchbetter guitarist than a singer, IMO, one of the best instrumental songs of all time. BREEZIN.
ya lost me Dougie lol..I'm not much of a Rihanna fan but I do like this track. And I'm definitely no fan of Drake but have to admit I like his contribution here.
some more Jr please and yes i have this album.....not to brag lol..They were so much more than just 'Shotgun'. Great tune, love the horns.
