Everyone knows the main sample of Summer Madness was Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. I'm going to give my two favorite (of the 200+) samplers of this track.

Sampler #1. DJ Premier is in Deep Concentration. Give the man behind the wheels some credit.

Sampler #2. Lesser known for sure but a hidden gem from the 90's - Da Bush Babees ft. Mos Def...The Love Song.

Otis Redding is the best of the best...…….for me all his stuff stands up to the passage of time.....50 plus years later......each and every soul ballad...…..I want Otis,s voice singing in my head on my death bed

Sorry to burst your bubble but punk is not black music. Even if the artists are black.

Only, that isn't Motown. It's the Philadelphia Sound, which was created/perfected by Jamaican immigrant Thom Bell, Leon Huff, Linda Creed (Epstein) among others.
You are indeed correct. This was released right after they left Motown. Nonetheless, still a classic.
