Nice post K Douglas! Issac is an icon.I've been playing this gem a lot recently. Epic.
I'd go back to vinyl but CDs are under $10 and can play in my car...I bought my first vinyl record in ages the other day. It will come sometime in January. Showbiz and A.G. 1992 record Runaway Slave.
My goal for 2021 is to double my vinyl collection from about 20 to 40. I got rid of so much vinyl back in the 90's selling them at garage sales or used record stores. One of my biggest regrets. Those of you still buying vinyl what is your preferred store(s) in the GTA?
For me its not about the convenience factor its about the authenticity and nostalgia. I miss that record crackle. Vinyl isn't cheap - many of the records I'm looking at purchasing are in excess of $40. But I'm ok with that, even if CD's are so much less costly. I actually bought my first CD in a while last month - Remy Shand's 'The Way I Feel'. It cost $15.99 plus shipping.I'd go back to vinyl but CDs are under $10 and can play in my car...
I get the nostalgia factor, I have about 700 vinyl recordings, when I think about buying vinyl again I remind myself why CDs got so popular. For me its not about the convenience factor its about the authenticity and nostalgia. I also had hundreds of vinyl recordings going back to the first one I bought by the Everley Bros.in the 1950s. Man I am old.I get the nostalgia factor, I have about 700 vinyl recordings, when I think about buying vinyl again I remind myself why CDs got so popular.
