3 random songs from my 3 favourite Blues artists
Saw Muddy twice in my life.

Once at the "Electric Circus " in Greenwich Village, NYC.

Later at the Esquire Show Bar in Montreal at an early evening show, sitting right in front of the stage.

Have to say Muddy and his band worked just as hard for the small crowd at the Esquire Show Bar as they did for the large crowd at the Electric Circus...

Also saw Albert Collins live in Montreal a few years before he passed. Small club, huge crowd.

Albert's Tele tone live was amazing. He also had a 100' or so instrument cord, and would walk through the audience while just killing it...

Johnny & The Hurricanes at the Winnipeg Auditorium, when Red River Rock was a hit in 1959.

Next was Fats Domino and his small orchestra. Ain't It A Shame, Blueberry Hill, etc. Same location. Great show...

Growing up as a white kid in Winnipeg, here are the only ska/reggae songs I heard on the radio:

Then, shortly after I moved to Montreal in 1972, the Jimmy Cliff movie "The Harder They Come" was released.

It opened up that whole era of Jamaican music to me...

I think that @Cholla would be surprised that all the songs in this thread aren’t in Swahili nor other native african languages

Got into reggae in my mid teens besides listening to the odd track in my younger days. Song above blew me away. Soca music is nice too, but I hardly listen to that since my early 20s. Have a hard time getting into the blues or jazz.
