Another compare and contrast...

"My First Lonely Night" peaked at # 82 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"Ue o Muite Arukō" (Japanese: 上を向いて歩こう, "I Look Up as I Walk"), alternatively titled "Sukiyaki", is a song by Japanese crooner Kyu Sakamoto, first released in Japan in 1961. The song topped the charts in a number of countries, including the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1963. The song grew to become one of the world's best-selling singles of all time, selling over 13 million copies worldwide.

The amazing thing is I can still remember exactly where I was when I first heard it on my car radio back in the summer of 1963...
Sukiyaki was covered by the disco funk group A Taste of Honey. Here's their version of this classic

I'm just about half-way through that genre playlist. A lot more posts to come, but restricting them to 18 per night, cuz trying to not post too many to listen to at a sitting...

I get it, but at 3, 4, or 5 it will take forever before I can go on to reviewing and posting the next genre...
