Of all the people we lost in 2016, I think that Sharon Jones hit me the hardest.

Had the pleasure of seeing this amazing singer and performer live a couple times, the last time being just before she passed away.

It's a testament to her strength that she was touring and playing live right up until the end. Plus sticking to your dreams, like Charles Bradley, she was in her 40's when she released her first album.

And speaking of Charles Bradley, I saw him play at Field Trip three years ago and he blew the artists half his age on the line-up away! His passing was another huge loss for music.
