Off The Wall was always my fav MJ album, even when Thriller first came out and bleeew up. I still liked OTW a bit better. To me it always represented the pure/raw talents of MJ. Watch the Don't Stop Til You Get Enough vid again. MJ kinda puts us in a trance by the effortless way he moves and sings even tho it was a low-budget video with lame backgrounds. He stills hypnotizes you just by him singing and dancing. Just like 1999 was always my fav Prince album even tho Purple Rain was his smash album
True story.... Back in the 90's whenever my nephew (2year old) would cry the only thing that soothed him and stopped him from crying was the Don't Stop Til You Get Enough video that I had tapped on VHS. I tried dozens of music vids to try to sooth him e.g Missy's, Busta's, Mary J etc.etc and none of them had the instant impact to the boy that MJ's vid did. I would place his crib in front of the tv and play MJ and he would always instantly stop crying and look like he was hypnotized by watching MJ.
I first heard this song at a basement house party in Scarborough back in 1986. That Monday after school I went stra8 to StarSound record store and purchased the album and 12" singles for Do Me Baby and Do You Still Love Me. One of my all time fav slow dance songs. This song got me sooo much pussy back then. A chick would come over to my place and I would play this on my 1200's and crank up the bass so we could feel the bass in out chest. Before long the girl would get so horny they would jump me and then cloths would be on the floor. I'm telling you it wasn't me it was always the music on those 1200's.lol
