This also kinda reminds me of that story about the guy who jumped in the Shark Tank at Ripley’s Aquarium.

Why not ring the neighbor's doorbell and retrieve the cat that way?

He could have fell, hit and hurt an innocent civilian(s) below. That guy looks like he weighs close to 200 pounds.

hilarious comments.

i wouldve easily done the same thing.

y'all forgot the point that maybe he doesnt know his neighbors and its highly possible that maybe the cat isnt safe on someone elses balcony?

its obvious he likes and cares for his cat otherwise he wouldnt have walked over there (and risked his life for it).

bottomline is maybe he didnt know his neighbor and not all neighbors are guaranteed to be nice. neighbor could easily be an animal hater and cat hater and go wtf is this cat doing on my balcony and easily picked it up and threw it over the balcony to its death simply cos the neighboe is an asshole.

u people havent thought about that?

you guys sound like you never came across an asshole before or ever had a neighbor that was an asshole.

which surprises me cos terb is full of assholes.

While I don’t know why he simply didn’t just go knock next door, that walk wasn’t safe but doable. He seemed careful when walking, I’ve done more dangerous walks on my roof.

maybe he was a roofer or construction worker used to working at heights, so...

Also...This is obviously not the first time this dude has walked across his ledge like this. Look how comfortably and easily he walks along that ledge- he has obviously done this many times before.
Agreed. This obviously is not his first rodeo so to speak. I mean his buddy doesn't seem concerned in the least.

Now I have a real fear of heights. So that would be impossible for me. I really do appreciate workers who can do their jobs at extreme heights. I get dizzy just watching them, lol.

I've done heights stuff. The most dangerous part if he knows what he is doing is picking up the cat (it may react badly as he walks and fuck up his whole day) and climbing over into the balconies.

Well, he did it.

I used to work as an iron worker back when. I must have laid about a million square feet of Q deck in my time and put up all kinds of steel. And this was before everyone was tied off with a fall arrest harness or working from zoom booms. I was taught to never look down. Look at the top of the beam about 6 feet ahead of you. (Better yet, walk on the top of the bottom flange with the beam between your legs to brace against. Watching the guy in question, he was walking on a ledge that was wide enough to accommodate him walking normally with his body perpendicular to the line of the ledge as you'd normally walk, (not walking sideways by sliding one foot out and then bringing the second foot into the other.) So there must be some width to the ledge. Still, he did well. Good for him.

I agree it looks worse than it was. I'd have any problem doing that myself, with no fear of falling. But seriously, it's a cat. Not that I don't love cats, I've had them all my life. But if it managed to make it to the neighbour's balcony, it knows how to get back.
