a dream about a giant spider

this morning i had this dream. it started out normal until the scene changes

a man was standing near a small yellow flower that looked like this


this pic is the closest look alike i can found

he touch the flower and it triggered a trap like thing which opened to a pit. he was hanging on the ledge to prevent himself from falling. in this pit there was a giant spider with a female voice/personality talking saying she won't eat him. she will use him as a pet to lure prey that she can eat and then the dream ends

when i had this dream i was in a spectator position which is like watching tv

I remember once when I was in high school, I had, from what I’ve gathered from what people describe, sleep paralysis. My brain woke up a bit early, I could see my room, but I couldn’t move. I also saw a massive spider creeping towards my bed. We’re talking like 8 feet tall. It got closer and closer, and I couldn’t move. Suddenly, my mother opened the door to wake me up for school. I snapped out of it, the spider disappeared, and I could move, and I just started screaming. It was completely involuntary. I was just gripped with this intense, primal terror. It lasted about a minute or so until my mother could calm me down.

Very strange experience, I’d never had anything like that happen before and haven’t since. It felt completely real, in my mind I was 100% about to be eaten by a gigantic spider.
