This guy was released on bail the same day for assault.
Why do the courts keep doing this?
He’s probably out on bail again by now.

As soon as the man approached the vehicle and punched the cop, the cop should have drawn his firearm and exited the vehicle and placed the man under arrest. If the man didn't comply and approached again, he should have been shot.

Cop haters are lowlifes that deserve to live in gang infested shithole neighborhoods.

Lou Malbeuf, a former York Region police inspector and tactical unit officer, praised Varao, who did not pull out his service firearm.

“The officer is compromising his own safety because he’s afraid to use his gun,” he said. “He’s got a split second to make a decision and he’s afraid because if this was not caught on video, the headlines would say ‘copper shoots unarmed man.’

“People would judge the circumstances without the facts. They would say he’s a hotshot, that he didn’t need to use that sort of force, but the reality is, the officer would have been justified to use lethal force in this case.”
For a 34 year veteran to feel this way is a problem. He could have died.

That fucker should not have been released on bail. How fucked up do you have to be to approach a police cruiser and beat a cop senseless. That officer should have at least had a taser but would have been well within his rights to draw his gun and fire.
