Is it just me or does the last line of the article sound like they are talking about GTAC?

On a positive note...

<"Police said there's little they can do to stop the hi-tech sex trade since the women are not breaking the law by advertising their services in public. ">

This is good.

<"Det. Reuben Stroble, of the sex crimes unit, said police are always on the lookout for underaged girls being exploited.

"We are always monitoring the sites for underaged girls," Stroble said yesterday. "Charges can be laid if the girls are not of age." ">

Also good.

I've been hearing alot about this Internet. What is it, exactly?

I mean, this article is sooooo 1994.

"My goodness, it seems these people are using this 'internet' for elicit and possibly sexual purposes! Boy, they are crafty fellows, arn't they?"

Never the safest place
"tells visitors arriving here where to go" - Is that a clumsy way of saying incalls? Or do they think they might be able to charge the website operator with procuring?

Apart from the usual attempt to mislead the general public into thinking the sex trade in Canada is all about 14 year olds coerced into the business, I'm confused by this article. What is the point of LE investigating internet escort directory websites, when they acknowledge there's nothing illegal about them?
