I believe the problem with the 737 Max caused the plane to turn the nose down.
I should not have written nose dive but more freefall. The 2 737 max when nose down yes but never in a complete free fall where the plane is perpendicular to the ground.

The two 737 max were at low altitude when the malfunction happened. This 737 was at 27,000 ft.

But I think the Max problem was specific to that model.
