The argument that "you eat animals, therefore you can't be against this" has some holes.

There's a difference between eating meat, and even killing animals for meat, and this. These people ENJOY killing. Look at their faces. Look at the pictures when people like this pose next to the animal they killed, smiling like some kind of lunatic.

THAT is the point, isn't it.

Killing defenseless animals for entertainment, is sick.

And I do know were food comes from, I lived on a crops and chicken farm until I was 13.

But the family did not get enjoyment out of killing chickens.

I agree with you for the most part FAST, except too many deer running around causes a traffic hazard and needs to be taken care of (in the name of culling). Deer cause so many accidents, you wouldnt believe half of it.

I dont like killing animals myself so I agree with you, but we can't have too many deer running loose

Killing a defenseless animal for entertainment,...is NOT the same as skiing, etc,...that's just sick fuji,...but of coarse,...we knew that.

Killing a destructive animal is fine in my books. No one would complain about hunting a 'helpless' wolf that was preying on cattle (even though the wolf population in Canada is seen as an endangered species).

So by that logic, no one should enjoy fishing either; anyone who poses for a picture, smiling with a fish they just caught, they're "lunatics"?

How about something a little closer to home, what about all those "lunatics" who pose and post photos of some decadent meal or ridiculous fast food on social media? Can you say everything you eat is totally out of necessity and not due to certain gluttonous tendancies? If so, how are you any better?

"Did you LOOK at that guy's face? It's like he ENJOYED having sex with that woman!"

Yes. People enjoy killing animals for food. Because that's how we WORK. Our bodies reward us with endorphins when we kill an animal for food because that way we kill more animals for food, we eat more, and we survive. It's the same reason our bodies reward us for having sex: we (are biologically "supposed to") reproduce more and our species is more likely to survive. It's how we WORK as biological entities.

Just because you pay someone to do all of your killing of animals for you doesn't make you morally superior: it's makes you a moral coward, unwilling and unable to face the consequences of your desire to eat meat. You're playing mealy-mouthed games instead of facing the reality of what you are morally responsible for: the torture and terrible lives of every animal you consume. Do YOU sit down in front of a nice, juicy steak and cry for the poor cow that died for that steak? No? But you expect this little girl to cry for the deer she just harvested in a much more humane way than the cow you paid someone to kill?

Hypocrite.

So that's see:
1) Endorphins make us want to kill.
2) Buying meat at a grocery store make you a coward

Makes about much sense as sex is just procreation. Oh wait, I think you already did, Or maybe you said killing deer makes want to have sex. Gees that little girl better be careful who she hunts with.

Seriously? You sound as if you a lot in common with Ted Nugent.

Ethnocentrism vs Cultural Relativity

When analyzing this, we can see the three stage process quite clearly. The first stage is the separation stage. This can be either when the boys are taken to kill their lion (according to the myths), cloaked and painted, and then taken into the tent. The second stage is the transition stage. This can be seen as what the boy goes through when he is inside that tent. He is circumcised, and this marks his transition from boy to man. It can also be said that the 4-8 months of having to wear black clothes could be also part of this transition; it can mark the spiritual transition of the boy into man. The third and final stage is the incorporation stage, where the boys are re-admitted into society as warriors. These warriors have a different job to do than the boys (they can now be seen as protectors of the village), and they are also ranked higher on a social scale (are more important, in other words).

This usually begins at age 12. But the boys certainly do not go on a lion hunt completely unprepared. They most certainly would have been party to a hunt prior to age 12. In fact groups of young boys, aged 5-12 will take smaller game honing their skills in preparation for their initiation day when they will or would have been required to take down a lion. (Lion hunting has been banned in the country referenced)
Not sure how many of them grow up to be "psychos".

There is a population explosion of deer in the States.

I see them all the time when I'm in NJ, nearly drove into one late at night. They have no fear of humans and they carry lyme disease.

Hunting and fishing are excellent family activities. Unlike your kids who will presumably grow up smoking drugs in a mall parking lot she's engaged in family activities and will grow up with rich experiences in a supportive environment.

Things like hunting, fishing, skiing, etc, demonstrate a good family with working relationships. They're out in the woods doing stuff together, not parking their kids in front of a Nintendo. It's excellent.
there's something deeply wrong with you too. Yeah right, 7 year old playing with real guns.

YEP,...didn't you know, shooting an unaware, defenseless animal, is in the same category of a family outing, as skiing,...???

Yes.

God forbid they turn out like Jesse Duff, the first female to achieve Grand Master in USPSA and is one of the most accomplished female shooters in the world who started off shooting with her dad at 6 or 7.

https://blog.hornady.com/q-a-with-top-shot-jessie-duff-ae6a144d812e#.tab91whqk

Then there's Tori Nanoka, who started off shooting with her dad at age 3. It's just downright shameful that someone's daughter goes to Greece with the U.S. shooting team that wins the gold medal while still a junior.

Fucking sickos I tell you. The fact they are both 10 out of 10 on the looks scale should be a dead giveaway their crazy.

Just imagine the shame and regret their parents must be feeling for teaching them so early.

It's a miracle they've been able to escape from any involvement with law enforcement or the criminal justice system.

Very cool. I wish somebody had taken me out to hunt as a child.

Ahh yes, the ol' past time of teaching your kids to snuff out life for the purpose of sport.

Don't get me wrong, if you're going to hunt and utilize what you bring down, that's fine. But gone are the days when you had to train your young 'uns from an early age to provide for the family. There's no need to bring a 7-year-old into it, who probably doesn't understand fully what she's doing.

She wasn't playing with it, she was under very controlled supervision (you could tell that by how quickly her father took control and engaged the safety) using it as a tool. Like a fishing rod.

They do things different in redneck country USA. By the time she's 12 or 13 she might be married off to one of her cousins and she will be an expert at shooting food for the family to eat.
So are Michigan, Ohio, or Maine "redneck country"? Because in all three of those states you can find people under 16 hunting as in this video when accompanied by an adult.
