There does come a point when a man can be too tall and becomes more freakish than awe inspiring.

Oh gawd as soon as I saw the title to this thread I thought please dont let cute-bald read this . I think surveys like this exist to feed the insecurities of the negative and weak . They mean nothing to most of us . Cute-bald try asking a real woman what she finds attractive about a+guy+.+As+a+real+woman+I+can+tell+you+Im+attracted+to+a+guys+tall+character/personality+and+sense+off+humour+.+One+of+the+best+lovers+I+had+the+pleasure+of+being+with+was+only+5'5+I+loved+it+cuz+we+could+kiss+without+him+bending+over+or+me+having+to+stretch+up+.+A+bit+of+advice+to+those+who+think+they+are+short+you+cant+change+you+height+but+you+can+change+your+attitude+about+it+!+Just+sayin+'+Bb
Don't worry, Blonde babe, Cute-bald will read this. He will see the light to the end of the tunnel if he can connect all these "+" signs together. LOL!!! On the other hand, don't feel bad for him. He is getting a lot of attention and tlc here.

Hamiltondude is not providing any new info that I don't know & studies confirm: only a very few ( 2%) of women have/ willing to date a short guy ( even when the short guy is taller than the girl).

What does a guy 6-5 do, I dunno.
If you want it to fit properly you have it custom made. As you said shirts are the worst, and I finally gave up and had a tailor make me several. Suits are a lttlle easier to adjust. As far as something you'd find in a store, clothes made in China are definately undersized. If it says XL it means L. With people seemingly getting taller with each generation you'd think they'd get that by now.

Actually it has nothing to do with Made in China. The clothes manufacturer, ie Hilfiger, Boss.... specify the pattern and sizes. The trend however lately is to wear fitted shirts, hence the seemingly tighter fit. Imo, fitted shirts are a lot more attractive and women find them sexier. It also forces you to be in better shape lol.

This thread is too funny :)
You guys didn't mention Joaquin Phoenix. He's sure not tall, but hell, he made quite the impression on me in Gladiator!! haha

Could it be that I'm a bit of a shortie myself (5'5... which I believe is average height for women)... but I always seem to find myself with men who are not much taller than me (6' would probably be the max height of anyone I've been with in my personal life.) Embarrassing to say but I even think there's a part of me that finds esp. really tall men intimidating! Can anyone else relate!? Thankfully, being an SP I've had the opportunity to explore outside my 'comfort zone', and see that tall can be good too! hehehe In fact, some of my favourite regulars ended up being very tall men. (They both happen to be dominant so that too may have something to do with it!)

Now, if we look at statistics, I remember reading an article in the Post a few months ago -- a study about tall men AND women. Overall, tall men & women earn more than the rest of us. AND, they tend to gravitate towards positions of authority within organizations. The study the article was based on mentioned tall men & women tended to get promoted more, and yes, that colleagues would perceive them to be better-informed/more of an authority in the workplace. Tall men & women also tended to command more personal space (this shouldn't come as a surprize since they ARE physically bigger hehe) and get the bigger offices.

Now, those of us who are not so well-endowed height-wise may moan and say 'Life's not fair!' but I say: 'Let's all honour and enjoy our own individual gifts!' There may be good reasons why our biology commands us to defer authority/suck up to! our taller brothers & sisters. It may well come from our evolution where the bigger mammal was the dominant one and more likely to survive etc. Coming back to the 'our own individual gifts', to our taller brothers & sisters I say: 'Since we're going to be treating you like the boss anyway (we = people in general acc. to statistics), please honour our trust in you and be a kick-@ss boss when you do become one!'
In other words, if biology has you gravitating towards the 'leader of the pack' position, then pls. make sure you are/you become an awesome leader so you can actually deserve all the respect your biology invokes! hehehe

As a final note, I was simply commenting on statistics here. I have had the pleasure of meeting many impressive leaders & top producers who were/are not at all well-endowed in the height department. They shine through their commitment to success and to serving their clients & the world around them.
One person that comes to mind is T.Harv Ecker, a Toronto native and author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. In a few short years, this awesome man (who is not at all tall) has built a very successful personal development organization that teaches courses to thousands of people across N. America every year.

I'm sure we can all come up with TONS of similar examples.

Which means there's hope for me & You & all the shorties out there hehehe. Let's all enjoy our differences and our gifts!

Kisses for you all!

^^^^ I sure hope so as after 20 years with my own businesses in 2 different U.S. cities I have decided to take a new direction in careers which will 1) enter me into new Industry at entry level position 2) be working for a company & not self employed. What causes me some concern is the mountain of studies incl. from U.S. dept. of Labor that as a short guy I am going to be 1) offered pay which will be at bottom of pay range for the particular job I get ( Their studies show short men are being payed 10-12% less than others in exact same management positions) 2) will be judged much harsher at performance reviews, 3) emplyees less inspired to assist & cooperate with shorter guys, & finally see less promotions. NOTE : these are not my observations as I have always been self employed BUT WOW lots of these studies show a grim picture for the short guy AND even worse than what women have experienced in the work place ( except for sexual harassment).
