Perry said the average Toronto sex worker when he was on the job entered the sex trade at age 14.
I'd like to see the actual stats on that particular statement@

It pisses me off that police seem to recognize visibility as an issue impacting sex worker safety, yet our legislators keep trying to push the industry further and further underground.

What about Trudeau? Didn’t he promise a review of C-36 starting sometime this year?

It's based on misrepresentation of studies done on sex work. Here's an explanation of how that made up stats ends up being constantly used in the U.S.: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...cking-at-13-years-old/?utm_term=.bdbf59822ac3

Here's a report about one of the most recent and serious studies done here in Canada: https://www.macleans.ca/news/canada...-study-sheds-new-light-on-sex-work-in-canada/

No he never promised any such thing. No politician will touch it unless directed by the courts.
When the Conservatives enacted Bill 36 a lot of terb members immediately started to support Trudeau in the belief that he would scrap this legislation and possibly even legalize sex work. If you had paid attention to what Trudeau has publicly stated on the subject you would know he looks at sex work as violence against women so he’ll never do anything to change the situation.

these are obviously cases of trafficking; they haven't appeared to change their mandate to go after consensual participants in the industry yet, at least not in toronto.

Trudeau did say in an interview once that he felt C-36 was the wrong way to deal with sex work. He didn’t ever to my knowledge explicitly say he would change it. I wouldn’t expect Prine Minister Drama Teacher to change anything, personally.

in that second article, the researchers sum up their findings in this way: "29 per cent of the sex workers interviewed said they had engaged in sex work before they turned 19"

it seems weird they would use 19 as the cut-off age instead of 18. seems like they're making room for themselves to make their stats look better.

I recall his Justice Minister at the time saying she would review C-36 in 2019. Also, at the last Liberal conference a motion was passed to look at decrimalizing sexwork.

It was the Neoconservatives that brought it in and it's been laxed under the Liberals. I bet if Harper had won again, the land of milk and honey would be alot different today. Probably closer to the USA style of moral abolistionist trying to shut down consentual sex work.

Well, I hope you’re right. It would be the sensible thing to do and would make all our lives easier. It’s just that Justin and his people say a lot of things that never wind up getting done. Hell, his big campaign promise, pretty much THE thing he was elected on, let’s be honest here, legalizing marijuana, took years to get done. I have very little faith in this government, they just seem to have no idea what they’re doing and seem to care more about virtue signalling and pandering to the PC types than governing.

As a test I just did a search in vipfavours for every independent escort working in Toronto today - I got 33 (plus one dude)....basically vipfavours is a crap website. Leolist isn't great but there's a helluva lot more than 33 choices on it.
I said it was a better platform and had less scammers, with no bullshit to look at the number. Was I wrong in what I said????? Are those three things not true???? LOL

Where did I say anything about the amount of ladies on it? Not to mention, how many scamming ads and ads of ladies who are NOT working would you be combing through to find who is ACTUALLY available and real on LL????

If more guys used it, more girls would advertise there without scammers, etc. It's not rocket science bud.
