5 days, your favorite provider... where do you go?

So here is the deal...

I share an excellent rapport with my favorite provider, and as a result of my customer loyalty I have been awarded with what you might call frequent flyer miles... the offer of a day rate that no one would refuse, on the condition that we had to take an all expenses paid trip as part of the deal.

I jumped at the chance to say yes of course. Unfortunately when I inquired at work about booking some time off in the next month or so, in addition to the vacation days I already booked off during the summer I was told that wasn't likely possible.

Not one to give up so easily, I figure if I add a couple sick days around a weekend I can get up to 4-5 days away.

The question is where should we go?
Where do people suggest?
Please keep suggestions practical...
I really only have 4-5 days. Have passports, but wouldnt want to go anywhere that requires passports to be stamped...

I just came back from Vegas and my passport definitely got stamped with a US customs stamp. When I went to New Orleans it was stamped as well

Is that such a great deal - you pay a daily rate and all the trip expenses ? Why not just book yourself a trip and use the extra cash to sample a few exotic dishes where ever you go ? There was another fantasy gone wrong recently that certainly suggests you make sure your expectations of this trip (including all costs) match up with hers.

A suggestion that meets your criteria - how about a romantic bus trip to a Hamiltion ON motel and just order in pizza/ fast food between shagging ? You could even go over the top and get a nice souvenir 'car freshner hanger' from the front lobby to remember the trip by ....

go to Atlantis in Nassau Bahamas...... if you have to go get a new passport after the trip just say you lost it and get it replaced if you are worried about your wife seeing the stamp.

most trips to the Bahamas or Cuba are for a full week...if you have 5/6 days.. there are trips to california that are short term..LA, Catalina Island...drive up the coast...ive done it..its a great trip..

Unfortunately, at my place of employment the normal policy is the only time off you are allowed is your official vacation time or you are sick. If you are sick more than 3 days you need a doctors note. No one at work has ever used the humanitarian work idea... so that just might work...

Don't use the humanitarian angle, karma will bite you. If you don't want to leave the country, there's always Niagra Falls just hop, skip, and a jump away.

As for the suggestions from others to sample the local wares, well I have never hobbied outside of Canada and worry about getting busted "in country"...

Does anyone know of a thread here with info on hobbying in the carribbean or somewhere else south?

i went to vegas in the fall,drove to buffalo and flew from there i had to show my passport at the bridge but it was not stamped.......i know they had only just started requiring passports at the bridge were they supposed to stamp it????

That's really going to limit you. Anywhere you want to fly is going to stamp passports except Cuba and maybe Liberia. I don't think it's common for countries to stamp passports you visit on Caribbean cruises, although I can't say for sure.

Of course you could always drive to Buffalo...

I agree with Stoo. Flying is out of the question. However, if you have good money and want a wicked place, go to Quebec city especially a nice room at Chateau Frontenac. Not only that but you get the wicked Quebec nightlife, fun cafes and restaurants for outstanding food and a little piece of Europe to enjoy. Plus, the Quebec women are also a little more frisky when it comes to enjoying a little adventure now and then.
