Hesseman and Tim Reid are the only ones to have starred in their own show after WKRP, "Head of the Class" and "Frank's Place" respectively.Aside from Loni Anderson, non of them seemed to go on to have much success after the show.

What? How'd I miss that? , I'm usually up to date on celebrity deaths. When Chi-Chi Rodríguez died last month WKRP was the first thing that popped into my head.
She was soo hot.Aside from Loni Anderson, non of them seemed to go on to have much success after the show.
Oh boy. I know the song in my head but can't think of the name. There is some confusion though because I believe in the syndication or re-release years later, due to copyright issues, they had to put in different music that was played. Am I right about this or just confused?BOOGGGGGGGGGGGGGER!!!!!!!!!!
The rumour I read years ago was the wife of the CBS President hated the show. She kept trying to get her husband to cancel it. The problem for him is the show was doing well in the ratings, so he wouldn't be able to justify cancelling it. In a situation where a network wants to get rid of a show, but can't cancel it, they will keep moving the timeslot for the show. The rationale is people will get tired of folowing the show from time slot to timeslot, and simply stop watching it. WKRP lated 4 years(90 episodes) and actually became more popular once it went into syndication after it's original run.
Trivia question: What was the first song they played after the format was changed to a Rock station?
