I remember hill street blues mash all in the family jeffersons. I waited three months for an MRI from bmh. fortunately im able to go anywhere in the world. This is a welfare country and if its not it will become. I have worked in canada us belgium and uk without hesitation as frankie siad. Fuck this health care system fuck the provincial and federal governmtent almost a million people waiting for imaging and treatment that they cannot get their hands on. My prostate cancer has become very advanced I will not die in this shit hole country. Ive had my share of fun with the ladies and I appreciate everyone of them. They taught me lessons I didn't even know. Met Catalina from TP for the 5th time shes a gem. Best of health to everybody. God bless

Sorry about your cancer. Please live where you want, do what you want but I will disagree that this is a shit hole country. Canada is one of the best countries in the world. If you are at the end stages, maybe try to lose the anger. It is not worth it consuming the last bit of your time and health.

Having witnessed love ones die of cancer, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy...but brother you will soon realize the health care system in Canada might be better than anywhere else...I've been everywhere myself and unless you have some serious money kicking around....you won't get the best treatment somewhere else...Best of luck!

I think Thailand is supposed to have first class healthcare at affordable costs. Am thinking of establishing a connection there as a backup. Also, the US is an option if you have money

Canada used to be one of the best countries in the world. 8 years of Trudeau has completely destroyed that. We are in one of the worst financial positions of the G7 countries. We are in last place when it comes to economic recovery from Covid. Our freedoms and charter rights are being removed bit by bit by this government. Our public healthcare system is one of the worst public healthcare systems in the world.
We have one of the highest cost of living of all the G7 countries. One of the biggest debt per capita of the G7 countries, and growing. Out of control immigration numbers that outpace infrastructure. And the worst housing situation of any "First world" country. And all of that has happened under Justin's watch.

This is now a shit hole country, because we kept electing a shit hole leader.

That's what happens when a stoner snowboarding drama teacher gets elected.

I went through the cancer system for prostate cancer from Aug.`20 to Jan. `21 at the DRCC/ Lakeridge Oshawa. Brachytherapy and external beam radiation treatments, x 15 visits. The professional care I received was exemplary, could not have done better. A few short delays but Covid was boiling pretty hard then. I don`t know the level of cancer the OP has but he can PM me if he wishes his medical people to refer him to those I dealt with. Hey, why not.

Sorry, you are not going to convince me we live in a shit hole country and one of the worst countries in the world when we are a first world country. Regardless of where you rank us in order of privileged countries.

But then I accept and admit my privilege in the world so….

If you need an MRI post haste and don't want to endure the long wait times, consider shelling out $$$ and have it done immediately. Yes, Ontario does have a thriving two-tier healthcare system.

In Toronto, you can also book an MRI scan with a private imaging clinic. Doing so may speed up the process, but it can also be costly. For example, private clinics such as Ilumina, Axxess Imaging and MedCentra offer MRI services.

I tore up my knee playing sports. They did a CT in emerge and said I had in fact torn a ligament, somewhere between 5% and 49%. They said I may or may not require surgery but the CT can't determine the level of damage accurately enough. They said they could send me for an MRI but I would have to wait 4 months for it. I said 4 months? It would practically be healed by then. If I did need surgery, I wanted to know sooner than later so I could either start rehab or book surgery. So I paid $950 and had my MRI results in 3 days. I went back to the doctor with the results and he said, good news, no surgery required. You can start rehab/physio once the pain subsides.

There's not a chance in hell I'd wait a long time for a screening procedure if I was looking at a cancer diagnosis. I'd hit the private clinic immediately. The other benefit of going to a private clinic, is that it frees up a spot for someone waiting for an OHIP covered one.
