Well, I think you're in the right spot. Just browse the top 5 or 6 threads here and you should get a good idea of the club scene.
I'd say that if you plan to stay on the Ottawa side, Barefax and the Playmate are your best bets. You could make it to one or the other pretty quickly if you wanted a bit of variety or it wasn't what you were looking for.
The same is true across the river in Gatineau with Pigale's and Club77.
Honestly, they're all within a 30 minute drive of each other (furthest trip would be Playmate to Club77, I think). Just remember to bring a lot of cash, tip the waitresses, be respecful, and remember that you can always say no. A lot of guys will go with any girl who asks. Save your money for the girl you find most appeals to you and you can get less picky if that doesn't happen. These are the rules for a good time.

Great advice. If you go with every girl that asks, you'd be broke pretty fast. Once you are "marked" as a whale, watch out for the hustling. If you accept a girl's invitation to seat by you and chat, do not linger on the convo, as time is money for the girls (their only reason to chat is to be invited to the CR downstairs), let her know you're not interested in private dance. . When you do go downstairs, tryy and be upfront with how many songs you want, and (very important) don't leave the song "counting" to the girls, I have found some tend to have a challenge in basic arithmetic. Have fun.
Club 77 is apparently great during the day but I'd just hit Pigale. Beautiful women, nice room, not full of thugs or jerks, hard to get in trouble there. Some guys say stick with the local ladies at Pigale for a better dance as they have an investment in their reputation there, rather than the Montreal girls. Drive the speed limit, gatineau police dont like ontario plates, better still, cab it there if you're making a night of it.
Thanks Westcityside! I have a vague memory of a drunken night at pigales 10 or 15 years ago - I am leaning toward there. And I will 100% take a taxi or uber.

I've stayed at the Adam Motel. It's directly across the street from Pigale. Very handy. Clean, not too expensive etc.. http://www.moteladam.com/hotel/chambres/accueil
Stayed there too. There's also a couple more further down the street that are just fine, the Ritz is one of them. A short walk from Pigale Church.
