It is the photographer and not so much the camera that makes the picture. Just get out there and take pictures, and reflect on what you like and how the shots turn out. A classic street photographer who inspired many was Henri Cartier-Bresson. The camera he used was a Leica rangefinder.

Go for it! Developing your own films and scanning them is fun. There are still outfits that process film, still, even 1 hour processing in Toronto.

Mine requires more frequent use, the lubricant has thickened over the 40 years I have had it. I need to exercise the camera more.
The last time I took in 35mm film(off the shelve underwater camera) the girl at Shopper Drug Mart looked at it like it was from outer space.
Where are you located approximately? There may be a local photofinisher close to you that does film finishing. My favourite when I worked downtown has been Downtown camera, along with Aden camera on Yonge street. Recently, I was told that about one third of downtown’s finishing work was for film photography. That is a tough one. Many stores will send the film out for processing. Maybe, someone independent might be working in your area. Personally, I have done my own and even colour is not that difficult.
My brother has a few digital cameras and does alot of wild life photography. He is pretty good at it. Mostly self taught.That is a tough one. Many stores will send the film out for processing. On the plus side, there is a lot to photo in your area, and the fruit during harvest, along with the wines, are to die for.
