This guy married a dancer 10 years ago and maintained a separate residence. The woman apparently lived in squalor
while the guy gave her occasional help with supporting her kids.
I'd have to think this guy might have had a few other dancers on the string. Newspaper reports describe the couple as estranged.

When I first saw their picture on the front page of the Globe, I thought, lucky guy - great looking wife and now he's got 30 mil.
But reading the story, the guy attempted to file backdate divorce papers so he gets to keep the whole 30 million. This obviously won't fly legally. If I was her I'd tell him to hand over 15 million and get stuffed.

Apparently she wants to keep the relationship going (!).
I have to shake my head in wonder.

I read that he went to the lawyers and figured out a way to keep all of 30 million dollars. It took him 1 year to figure out this plan after he won the lottery. He didn't claim the prize until the near expiration date of the redemption. The sad thing is that he gave his ex-wife $120 and told her that he put $500 in the bank account for her to use it wisely and disappeared.
Why couldn't he have given her at least $1,000,000?
I have a feeling that he's going to be doing sp hobbying a lot now. I feel really sorry for his ex-wife and her children who still lives in poverty.

The guy strikes me as a creep.

He just plain looks like a weasel, and obviously is acting like a weasel. (No offence to the furry creature who lives in the ground.)

This guy is one sad sack of shit.

If he did that it would only mean that he accepts liability and open him up to litigation. It would show where his money is and all kinds of lawyers will work on contingency to get some of it for themselves.

Everyone will disagree with me.
You are better off working your ass of for years rather than getting handed a few MILLION.
You may not be like me but I know I would blow almost all the money in a few years. Besides life will have no challenges for you.
Everyone needs disapointment and letdowns.

About six years ago I Inhareated $380,000 from a dead family member. I saw SP`s almost every night for 2 to 3 years. I am regreating my decision and party lifestyle.

Now I see about 10 to 15 SP`s a year, and it really hurts when you cancel or you get the feeling and cant do anything about it.
I you have any questions about someone PM me I`ve most likely seen them. (wipes tear from eye)

IMO, the guy comes across as a lowlife. Granted, I don't know all the facts but if from what I've heard he knew a year ago he won, waited until he got a divorce in January, and then cashed it in. I hope the lawyers have a field day with him.

I'm Sure Their Is A Nasty Woman Out There.....

But why does it seem like when we hear/read stories about some of the most pitiful excuses for human beings on the planet, they are usually men. This guy is a jerk, no matter how you slice it. There is nothing quite like a person who can be cold, calculating and premeditated in their approach to screwing someone. He makes me ashamed to be part of the same gender.

You mean like the woman who drowned her kids, or the one who killed her kids because her new boyfriend didn't like them. It happens with both sexes.....

I think there is a difference in cases where there is a question of the loss of reality (mentally) vs just being a jerk. If you want to compare stories about human cruelty, I think you'd have to agree that men have a substantially longer laundry list of atrocities.

You got a love a guy who leaves a post it note to tell her to return a rental car as he's not paying for it anymore. That's class.

Throwing a million dollars at any of his wive's is not the only way to be liable to them. He does not have to give them a cent (which clearly he hasn't, the bum) to be liable. I suspect the wife with the children will have the best claim, because child support is ongoing no matter what. His children are 13 and 11. If they want to go to university that means at least 15 more years of support that is potentially owing. The latest wife's problem is their conflicting stories about the length of the relationship and the fact that she seems more interested in believing him than going to a lawyer to protect her rights.

However you slice it, this guy is a pathetic slob. I don't buy his family's story that all of the press is made up. If the negative stuff about him was not true then why did he go to all the trouble to hide his win for the past year. What a bozo. Like you could win $30 million and hide it........................goof!

Don't know where he was keeping the ticket but it would have been so sweet if the place it was being stored in went up in flames before he actually claimed it ...would have served the fool right.

If I was in his shoes, I probably would have spoken to lawyers but, I would have looked after family and those I had called family at one time. This guys is a low-life and a dickweed. Hopefully the women (and some we probably don't know about yet) will get their fair share.

In today's Toronto Star , says he has three ex-wives - he should just give them a million each

I would hope that the ladies in question wouldn't be gullible enough to accept that. That being said i don't believe the "ex-wives" should benefit at all except whoever has the children. If this guy had any decency at all he would make sure his kids are taken care of (let the ex-wives get jobs for pete's sake). However, correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the last one was still a "present" wife wasn't she? And if that is the case then she should definitely share in it as well.

hiding behind my computer screen.
The only people I would be giving any money to in that situation would be my current wife and my kids as well as any other women who my kids call their mom (for my kids' sake).

If I had ex-wives that I didn't have children with, I don't see why it would be my responsibility to make their lives any easier when they probably made my life hell by pimpin' me off to work everyday so I could make money for them. The money would be better suited for charity instead of mad shopping sprees.

Hey, Diva, were you aware that being a mother is a full-time job? Do you see the father in this situation staying home to take care of the kids? Does he seemed concerned about even putting a roof over their heads or food in their mouths? It seems to me there a lot of deadbeats who more than willing to contribute to creating these kids, but when it comes time to supporting them while they're growing up in the world, these deadbeats are nowhere to be found.

Having raised 2 children alone for the past 15 years Kathy i do believe i'm well aware of what it takes to be a "full-time mother", father, counselor, bank, taxi service etc etc. I however choose to work 2 and 3 jobs at a time rather then expect someone else to do it for me. I'm not saying he shouldn't be responsible for those children, reread the post, i'm saying that he shouldn't be responsible for an ex-wife.
