The cops in Quebec make their own rules. I was staying in a flop house hotel ( full of strippers and musicians in the 70's ) when a bunch of thugs broke into our room in the middle of the night waving sawed off shotguns in our faces and yelling in french. It was plain clothes provincial cops who thought we might be bank robbers or something. Apparently they eventually caught the gang and offed them in a shoot out.

The Quebec Hells Angels were terrorized with kidnappings and mutilations by the Blood Family Mafia to send them a message that they would not pay a tribute to the HA. The HA could not let it go and had to retaliate against the BFM. The news went through the Ranks of the HA that the war was on and there would be kidnapping, mutilations and maybe killings against the BFM. The LE was afraid of a blood bath between the two gangs and had to take some of the members of the BFM into custody so that they would not get killed.
The members of the BFM were not taken in for the yet unproven kidnappings and mutilations, they were taken in on previous suspected crimes as an excuse to prevent wholesale mayhem. Many of the BFM will be quickly released and charges dropped.
The LE were tipped off by an inside snitch that crapped in his pants at the thought of going into a gang war. The LE did not want another war like the Rock Machine / Hells Angels war of 1994 - 2002

Ms 13 has evolved far beyond street gang status to the status of security threat group so it's unfair to use them as an example. Blood mafia family exist no where other than the small pocket they occupy in quebec. Bmf vs HA is like a single pawn versus the entire other side of the chessboard. The Blood Family Mafia disrespected the Hells Angels by not paying their tribute of 10% of their drug money sales. Then they kidnapped two HA members and did torture and mutilation on them. The HA could not let this stand and was ready to go to war, if they did not every punk and slime bag would stop paying tribute and do as they pleased in HA territory. One of the kidnap victims of the HA killed a BFM kidnapper and then ran to the LE, less one finger and one toe. There was about to be a blood bath if the LE did not get news from inside the HA that they were gearing up for war.

When the Red Allegiance torture and/or kill rivals they may use homosexuality as a form of humiliation while they record the incident and make it available to the public.

Good to hear that they're still at the top of the pyramid. Some of these other outfits have no honour in what they do and aren't grounded in the same way as Hells Angels.

The Mafia is at the top. The Hells Angels take their orders from the Mafia. These two groups are fat and giggly and they want to collect their cut for doing nothing. The scumola are getting too much attention from the LE.
I would argue that the angels have more members and reach than any mafia organization. The angels are a global organization and are represented on every continent. Ironically this whole war is for absolute control of Quebec and then Canada as a whole and I don't see the angels losing this war.
She was the daughter in-law of an already croaked mafia member. Possibly her husband may have been in the family business or maybe she was participating in some family activities like money laundering.
