Just responding to a few things from this thread.... This place was always a dive and it's around the corner from a couple Caribbean hangouts that have had shootings in the past. I think one was called Calypso Hut and someone got whacked there 10-15 years ago. Latin Quarter was at Melanie & Steeles, but the opposite end of Melanie. SRM is on Steeles but on the other side of Torbram, but still, just a stones throw away.
