One million dollars ? Its a nice car but I've seen nicer Ferrari's

Toronto police have announced three arrests and say a fourth suspect remains at large after a two Ferraris — one valued at a staggered $1 million — were stolen at knifepoint last fall.

Police say the first carjacking took place on Sept. 30, 2022, just after midnight in the Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road area.

In that incident police say a dark coloured BMW followed a 2017 Ferrari F12 and waited until the driver parked their vehicle and started walking towards a residence.

Police say the BMW pulled in and parked behind the Ferrari, before three suspects approached the victim with a knife, demanding the keys to the rare, valuable car.

The victim handed the keys over and the suspects fled in the Ferrari, which police valued at approximately $1 million.

Police suspect the same group stuck again on Nov. 6, 2022, at around 1 a.m. in the St. Clair Avenue West and Avenue Road area.

In that instance the victim had just parked their 2018 Ferrari 488 Spyder when they were approached by a knife-wielding suspect.

“The suspect produced a knife, and aggressively searched the victim’s pockets until the key to the Ferrari was located,” police said in a release.

The suspect drove off in the Ferrari, while an accomplice took off in the vehicle they arrived in.

Police say the Ferrari 488 Spyder was worth around $300,000.

Investigators identified four suspects believed to be involved in both carjackings. On Nov. 22, 2022, three of the four suspects were arrested.

Samuel Wyncenty, 22, Beaudon Petrohelos, 22 and Elliot Raines, 24, all of Toronto, are facing a slew of serious charges, including robbery with a weapon and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

A fourth suspect, identified as Ryan Tyson, 23, of Toronto is wanted on a charge of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence in connection to the carjackings.

Police say he’s also wanted in connection to a separate incident that took place on Oct. 4, 2022, at 6:14 p.m., in the Ellesmere Road and Kennedy Road area.

Police say he evaded police “and struck an officer assigned to the Gun and Gang Task Force with the vehicle he was operating.

For that alleged incident he’s facing charges of attempt murder, assault with a weapon, and fail to stop for police, among others.

Really stupid, because a rare car like that wouldve been very difficult to sell

Not all.

Just get it in a container to Africa and the highly developed stolen car and truck network will sell it at higher than list price.
Not much around here, but like Schlong says they send them in containers to the Gulf and Africa. I don't know why there isn't more control on the containers.
