As long as Kiefer Sutherland is alive I don't think we'll have to worry.

I still don't understand how Palmer plays any other role than a consultative one. Maybe he gets out there and saves Jack Bauer's life. He can't be President, there's too many in front of him. I noticed the pussy VP as well. It's one of those things that irritates me about the show. Don't get me wrong, the irritations only consist of this and its airing only once a week. But a person in the VP's shoes being a pussy, I mean come on!

For us 24 addicts they should change the show title to 72 have it over a 3 day period with 72 episodes. That way they could air it 4 times per week with a couple of week long breaks thrown in. That way they still have around 20 weeks of material. I know the logistics would be troublesome with having to sleep and all, but I am willing to overlook this.

Ok I think that the current vice-president is going to become President regardless of the fact he is a pussy. Consequently the new vice President will be David Palmer. He will be asked to come in for his experience at handling these situations. And then on he goes next season back as president.

After seeing this week's previews, Mike (Palmer's Chief of Staff prior to getting fired and replaced by Wayne Palmer), is back in the loop. Not sure what his role would be, but my guess is that he's the link to bringing Palmer back

Yay! Its almost time for David Palmer to come back. Dennis Haysbert should really run for President.

I thought last nights episode was fantastic. His agent buddy bought it pretty quick. The involvement of Palmer is lagging behind. WTF we're 2/3's of the way through the season. Now off to see Emily

Agreed. Last night was outstanding. I was surprised to see Mike Novac resurface. I figured he was out of politics when he was fired by Palmer.

After watching that episode though I decided that we should all lay the ground rules with our wives etc. for what to do if you are captured while working to maintain national security. If you can't handle keeping your mouth shut while watching someone get tortured, don't wait until the third bullet. If you are going to cave anyways, do it quickly. He was obviously willing to risk everything to spare his wife so "I love you too much to watch you get shot a fourth time, honey", might not be of much consolation.

Nothin yet. They've really focused on the plot this year and although it's been good, like everything in this world, it could be better with more tits. :D

I bought the Season 1 DVD's about 1 1/2 weeks ago and am almost done watching it...I think I have 6 episodes left....really, really anxious to know what happens. This show is incredible...never seen a show that makes you wanting more than this one!
Wait until you get a couple of episodes in on Season 2. Then your really fucked. But don't worry 3 is the least favorite of all four so far. I can't believe that I'm going to say this but, I could care less that there is no tail on 24.

Shame on you WH

I think Mike is there to try and talk Palmer into coming back in some kind of capacity. It is obvious that the V.P. is in way over his head

This is Mike's way of getting back at the US government after being sacked by Palmer for arranging the cabinet vote in Season 2. That or he's unhappy about the lack of tits as well.
