In a house somewhere
Well, I started watching 24 this season. The 1st 2 episodes were good, lots of action, and it moved along well. Now, after many epsiodes, we have Jack breaking into the Russion consolate.

Was it always like this? The guy just got out of prison, was tortured, escaped, witnessed a nuclear bomb go off, his brother died, father set him up, rescued kidnapped nephew, etc, etc, and the day isn't done yet?

It is becoming a bore. On the same day, president nearly got assassinated, vice president takes over, etc, etc. Phew...When does he eat, take a piss, take a dump, get some shut-eye...

Although I want to see how it ends, maybe I should just wait for the final episode. Or wait for the DVD box set and watch it on fast-forward.

It pretty much is the same stuff you mentioned all the time, during the day, hes always running around and things are always happening.
I have to add that this season isnt as exciting as past. Its not such a big deal to me unlike last season. You know theres gonna be twists throughout the story so you're never expecting something simple.
Also Prison Break is dragging on now as well i find.

I was expecting to see what went down in China and what happened to CTU/USA while he was in custody to start off the season, but they decided to skip that altogether.
I'm wondering what happend to Logans wife, that security guard and that bald guy with the glasses that helped them out from last season.

Yes, last year was what got me hooked to this show. I went back and saw the first season which was also great. But this year it seems less to do with decisions and dilemas that Logan had to make (before we found out he was corrupt).
I also think the acting has gone way down this year. Palmer is a lousy president. Even the chief of staff last year was much better.

I have to agree. I have been a die hard 24 fan since season 1 and last summer watch season 1 and 2 - 48 episodes in a 10 day spurt. I find its just more of the same this year..bad Arabs for hating America. No characters left on the show. They got rid of Tony, Michelle, Edgar etc and now we got stupid Wayne Palmer as president...the guy looks like a thug and they might as well as cast Snoop Dog in the role. Support at CTU is week other than Bill Buchanan. I am losing interest fast. Like the guy above said, this season should have been about CTU getting Bauer off the chinese boat or out of prison...not about Jack saving the world again in 24 hours.

Stupidity - breaking into russian embassy after just getting out of chinese prision for doing the same thing.

Might not last the remainder of the season.

In a deep, but well lit, hole
I totally agree guys. Last season kicked ass, while this run seems tired, hackneyed and inane. I'm one episode away from giving up.

I agree, President Wayne Palmer is lame. The ongoing bickering between Chloe and Morris over his suspected alcoholism is getting really tedious. He had a big hole drilled in his back a few hours ago and he's still able to function.
I didn't mind the Jack and his family plotline. James Cromwell played a good badass. When Jack's brother died, it was great to see the whiney bastard gone.
Marilyn Bauer was really easy on the eyes.
I'll keep watching because Grudenko is a great villain, we just need to see more of him.

and the trouble is we havent run out of Palmers to be president, there is still the sister!!! the first one was kick ass, but Wayne looks like he is about 12 and cant take him seriously as prez of the most powerful nation on earth at all

this show has had it. I threw in the towel after having watched every season and the start of this one. Its the same old thing, I think they are still supposed to do one or two more seasons and a movie too.

I will watch the rest of the season, if only to see what happens in the end (hopefully the vice-president gets the boot). But whereas I couldn't wait for the next episode, it can wait until I am ready.

Now, Snoop Dogg as president might be fun. Then we would get some girls in the white house.

The "Who is Jack gonna torture next" is getting kinda stale. But at least it's no Lost.

I would say it's no Prison Break, that show has completely lost it for me. It jumped the skark when season 2 began. I tried watching a few season 2 episodes but it sucks too much.

The show Lost has lost it's charm and the flash backs get tiring, like the Eko back story then he gets killed, pointless.

24 has so much potential, may be they should start thinking of not doing a storyline over 24 hours but over 24 days, at least all the terrorist bombings wouldn't be in Los Angeles all the time. The whole LA scene is getting tiresome.

Watched 24 last night...

Well, I think I am going to wait for the final episode, or close to the final anyway.

Total nonsense. Utterly ridiculous, and unrealistic. It's one thing when it is a dumb show trying to be serious, but a serious show looking so dumb?

The vice president is in control, they stormed the Russion consolate, the ex-wife stabs the guy (ex president I believe), all in an hour's work..

Season 5 was the best. I agree that it would have been interesting if Season 6 had Jack escaping from China. I also like the idea of it spread over 24 days.

Come to think about it.........

......this season has indeed lost its intensity a bit. I too, was hoping the season to be about how Jack is rescued from China. It will certainly be interesting to see how they play out the time difference. It will be more interesting to see if Kim Bauer is back in CTU to save her dad. Then again, I will NEVER complain about the show.

Highlight of the season thus far:

1) Jack's family surfaced. We didn't even know his name in S5 and Graem is Jack's brother in S6.
2) Philip Bauer turned out to be the bad guy. Sorry, maybe you saw it but I didn't. I thought he was going in to kill him and then himself.
3) Scenes when Jack was defusing the second nuke was very intense. I had sweaty palms when watching.
4) Jack kills Curtis.

I am right about:
1) Morris O'brien is not a bad guy as some of my friends had suggested.
2) Charles Logan is a good guy after all this season.
3) I will be right on this one as the show progresses.....TRUST ME!! Nadia, that hottie in CTU is the snitch in the house.

For some reason, I thought James Heller, Audrey's dad was going to be the president. I was also hoping Audrey to come but I guess not. Jack's sister in law is hot, kinda reminds me of Demi Moore.

Anyway, enough rambling on for now!
