Interesting finale..nice setuo for next season. They can do that now with a few seasons already renewed.

I`m not a fan of ending the season on a cliffhanger; that stuff should have died when Dallas was cancelled. Other than that it was a good season, despite the fact that they killed off several longtime characters for no reason.

by the way the president sounded and looked, saying that jacks life if more valuable than killing him, i think they are going to make jack do something for them. Make him a spy or something like that.
But did this years story really end there? Dont they need to show what really happens to logan and the presidency? What about the people behind all this. I 'm thinking since its 24, you're either in the story or killed off. I'm sure we'll hear from them again. Hope the previews for next year comes soon. They cant just keep us sitting here with nothing.

I don't think so. If you recall, Wayne Palmer was one of the targets the Christopher Henderson wanted to eliminate because he knew too much. The fact that he knew Logan was behind the attacks means he's a treat to Logan so he went into hiding after helping Jack. It would be silly for him to show up so that Logan can get rid of him. The whole speech the Logan made to Mike about how Wayne should be at the airport for just for show to cover his butt.MarkII said:

I think the Chinese angle will be resolved with the movie this summer. After all, the new season of 24 does not start until January 07.
One disappointment from last night that was not resolved... who were those guys talking to the prez? They were never named or identified. So... look for them to be back next year.

Re-run
For those who didn't watch the last 2 hours of season 5, there will be a re-run at 7pm tonight on NTV......I think that's New Brunswick TV. So if you have it, that's another chance before going on cold turkey for 7 months.
I recorded ALL episodes but I accidentally recorded the last hour only. So I aam lucky enough to get to record both hours tonight.
For those who didn't watch the last 2 hours of season 5, there will be a re-run at 7pm tonight on NTV......I think that's New Brunswick TV. So if you have it, that's another chance before going on cold turkey for 7 months.

The production went a little crazy the last 2 seasons with providing a climax EVERY hour. I guess it's good in a sense that you are on the edge of your seat weekly. Then the timing factor came into effect with several argumentative call. I also didn't quite appreciate that they kept adding people throughout the story. I guess they wanted them in to keep the story line going. I prefer how they tie in the old characters mentioned before i.e. Christopher Henderson whom Jack ratted out on, the Chinese Consulate who knew Jack is not dead, Mandy from season who should be back next season after she got the full ammunity from Logan. I didn't like how they brought out the group people at the end. I prefer them out sooner right after we found out that Logan is in all of this. I have mentioned it before. I much prefer they bring out fewer climaxes but focus on building those climax in a few epoisodes. This way, I can focus my attention more on what's going to happen next week over on wondering whether what's happened can really happen with such short period of time.
But after these said, TWENTY-FOUR STILL ROCKS! Never mind season 6, 7, 8. If Friends can last 10 seasons, I think 24 can last maybe at least 12-14 seasons.
