Suddenly things just got a lot more tense at Mac. Still a long shot for Max but a brain fart from Lando next race and he’s right back in it as is Piastri
Even if Max doesnt win it this year, the way he's finishing up 2025 he's looking good for next year again

Absolutely but with a full chassis and engine reset across the entire field there are bound to be a surprise or two. The loss of Newey May start to show next year.

The pressure is certainly on Red Bull now.

If there's any pressure on RedBull it's to keep Max! At any and all costs! Any other driver in their cars and they'd be lucky to be mid-field. Yuki is an embarrassment. I know he brings in big sponsor money, but a complete joke week-after week. Red bull will finish 3rd or maybe even second in constructors' title all thanks to a single driver. They better hope and pray they have a competitive car next year. The Astons are already making improvements.

Agree 100%, the roster of drivers that have failed to even come close to Max in the same car is telling. Both Lawson and Hadjar are out scoring Yuki this year in what should be the B team. Pérez had respectable seasons in 22 and 23 but the car seemed unbeatable those years and IMHO Albon did ok in the 1/2 season they moved him up but went backwards the next year.
Gasley, Albon, Pérez, Yuki, Lawson can’t all be the problem. Hopefully they don’t fuck up Hadjars career by making him the scapegoat next season.
Aston will be an improvement as long as Honda delivers a decent power unit unlike thier last all new one. If the rumours of Merc having the best engine right now are true you know they’ll be in the hunt as will Mac and possibly even Williams being able to steal a podium on occasion.
If RB fuck up the new engine and come in down 50 HP they may be fighting with Hass, Alpine and Audi for the scraps.

Some F1 teams care a lot about the Constructors' Cup, but they don't care about the Drivers' Championship. The best example is Williams, when Frank was alive.

Some teams care about the Drivers' Championship, but not the Constructor's Cup. The best example is Brabham, when Bernie Ecclestone was team owner, and Nelson Piquet was the name driver.

Some drivers don't want a competitive team mate. The McLaren pairings of Alain Prost with Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton with Fernando Alonso, and Hamilton with Nico Rosberg at Mercedes, created tension in those teams.

It's very possible that Max Verstappen has requested a weak team mate at Red Bull, who probably also doesn't have an equally prepared car. Michael Schumacher had his best results when he could count on Ruebens Barichello to be his obedient bitch.

The Senna/Prost battles while at McLaren were epic. Plus the cars from that era were some of the best, sadly the budgets just weren’t sustainable.

Still advantage Norris but this last race will be interesting. I’m a Verstappen fan but I’m good with any of the three being Champion. Dont think Lando would pull a Schumacher and crash his opponent out on purpose. Absolutely a better second half of the season than it looked like we were going to get in August.

Anyone except Wankstappen. A pity Oscar blew his lead the way he did.
