It's coming in only 22 days. Darn, it seems like yesterday that I screamed like crazy watching the women's canadian team win gold 3 years ago.

Now in Paris so the time zone won't be so brutal.

I like watching the drama of the swimming competition and track and field. I hope the best for Summer McIntosh and Maggie!

I like the drama behind many performances and failures... For the redemption, I would love Penny Oleksiak to get one last medal. She made us so proud back 8 years ago!

And of course, we would not be on this board otherwise, I love to find the cutest athletes out there haha

This year new Canadian track star Audrey Leduc of Gatineau begins with a head start Could have been a model if she hadn't run the 100m so fast!

Summer has dropped the 200 free as there are 2 stronger swimmers ahead of her. She will be competing in the following individual races:

1. 400 IM - WR holder and clear favourite
2. 200 fly - 2 time world champion and favourite
3. 400 free - 2nd fastest woman in history and favourite
4. 200 IM - chance for gold but the toughest

Not sure how many relay events she will be a participant

The team never decides that much in advance about relays. It really depends on the schedule of all swimmers. So far an analyst has predicted that she will only do the 4*100m. But that may change fast...

The USMBT played an exhibition match against some country called South Sudan. Blowout for US, right? Wrong! South Sudan led by double digits most of the game with the US eventually pulling out a 101-100 victory. South Sudan had the ball with 8.1 seconds left with a chance to win but couldnt convert. The USMBT isn't invincible. Hope Canada beats their ass.

France currently making USA learn that they are the country that develops the most players in the world.

The US and canada are getting better but by god if you only knew how different it is un latin america and europe.

The most important factor is that it’s not a business at youth level. It is a business later on once they turn pro. But at a young age no way a parent has to spend 3 to 5 thousands per year!

Women's soccer Canada vs New Zealand on CBC. Just checked and it is sad they are still only broadcasting in 720p on TV. WTF? Wonder if the quality is the the same on CBC Gem streaming and their website?
