There is a small chance of getting infected BECAUSE we are living like this. Since you are such a genius why don't you figure out the probability of getting sick and the death rate if the subways, street cars, restaurants and night clubs are jammed with people.

You go through life with a sense of entitlement. You think you are entitled to a good life. Wrong. Life is full of ups and downs. We are in down period for about eighteen months and will return to normal in time.. Previous generations have had it far worse. The ten year depression of the 1930s. WW I and WWI are a few examples. In the annals of human history, what we are currently experiencing is nothing.

You're s wimp. Suck it up cupcake for another year and then it will be over.
I agree, good points, we here in Canada also live in a beautiful fairytale bubble due to our geographical location. Look around the world there are horrific atrocities happening everyday where people are living and trapped in nightmares from which there is no escape.

This is a good wakeup call for every nation, we got off easy here, COVID is not decimating the earths population as another virus easily could have. This gives us all an opportunity to snap out of our dream and start considering the real possibilities of a pandemic that could kill billions in less than a year, just imagine what today would be like if we were in the middle of that.

I really miss rock n roll shows, sporting events, etc...COVID has completely shut down the live entertainment industry.

71% of deaths from COVID are people who are over 80 years old. COVID is a hoax. At this rate we should ban bathtubs too because old folks slip in them so often and break their hips.
I'll assume your parents are in there 80's yet?

You know, I’ve been doing the math since March and realize how much of a small chance it is to get infected...but still, here we are living like this
Living?? I dont call this living anymore. We are just existing now.
You cant go anywhere. Bars are more or less closed, so are restaurants unless you wanna wear a mask, can't go to a ballgame, can't fucking do anything. I hate this crap!!

Besides the point. People whore in their 80s know death is inevitable. Its not even a sad thing. Its just the natural conclusion in life. Dying young is sad. Dying in your old age having lived a full life is not.

Um ok ignore that 71% with the 2% death rate. So 2/3 less deadly is 0.66% death or .33% death or only 133-266 times more dangerous than skydiving. Or jumping out a plan every other day for year.
And as a note most disease have death tolls of old of around 99% to 90% old folks, flu thought is around 67% but with very young being the other group. Covid-19 is strange in that the very young seem to be resistant.

When we started this lockdown/shutdown/closure in March I thought this was suppose to be temporary to slow the spread of Covid.

Well it's now October, we're still in this, it's getting worse and the experts think it's gonna get a lot worse, and there is no end in sight...you can't make plans for next summer even.

This is no way to live...
Stilton, or maybe a brie...

Dying is sad at any age, I for one am not going to be the cause of ending my parents life to meet a friend for drink or dinner.
This pandemic is really opening my eyes to how people think mainly about themselves only.

Let me just say that for us introverts, the limitations in place have been sweet, sweet revenge on every obnoxious extrovert we've ever known! LOL.

Personally, I've found the past seven months to be quite relaxing. I've been reading more, exercising more and saving a shit-tonne of cash.
