It started this morning. Americans off to a big lead in 2 matches, Euro smaller lead in 2 matches. USA must be impressing the gamblers as the odds rose from +140 to +225 for Europe as of now. +225 for Europe is an absolutely great value bet.

American fans are being annoying. Given that the event offers much leeway I will go with them being just OK as of now, but they are really pushing the limits of what is acceptable even for this event.

If it gets a little ugly it's largely on Phil Mickelson, who has taken class out of the event and turned it into a self serving blame game. Phil, America's phony hero, continued carried forward his blame game routine from 2014 to this week.

Americans about to sweep the opening round 4-0. Puts them at a huge advantage, especially since this foursomes format is typically one which Euro excels at.

Can't really hate the team except for phony Phil.

Agree. Seeing as Europe has been handing them their lunch for the last 8 years or so, throwing the U.S. a bone occasionally is not so terrible.

Some quality golf today - Patrick Reed and Thomas Pieters are probably the team MVP's right now. Lee Westwood missed putts after brilliant approach shots were devestating. A big difference between 8.5-7.5 as compared to 9.5-6.5

The American crowd unfortunately has became a major story for its boorishness.

Like every other sport, americans think they invented golf so that makes it ok to be arrogant and rude. GOD I loved Mcilroys responses, to bad he lost. Reed was just as hyper as Mcilroy but that was OK to the american fans...bunch of arrogant A#%HOLES. Except for the crowd it was a great display of golf. Tell me again how golf isn't exciting? Can't wait for 2018 in France, let's hope everything has settled down in the world so we don't have to worry about the safety of everyone evolved.
