The referring tonight reminded me of what NHL refs do too much... whistle goes in the pocket when the game is on the line. I saw many calls that weren't flagged on both sides throughout the game, especially the last, and I'm sure Goddell will be doing some dancing about that. One play by play idiot said that the refs shouldn't be the ones deciding the game in the end... it should be up to the talent of the players to make or break a play. But if you go on that lne of logic, how can you not ask the refs to make the right call at the right time as they are a part of the equation on the field. I thought that it was a weak showing by the zebras tonight.
I agree 100%, the refs let way too much go. That was defensive holding all the way, on the 4th down play. All that being said, the 49ers were just too bad in the first half, or before the power went out!
The 49ers should have had, at least one play for Colin to run it in, on that last 1st and goal series.

There's never a SB or any other championship game where ref calls are not questioned. Get over it 49'er fans, the Ravens won and they deserved to win.

Wow, there are a few words that I thought would never be linked together in a sentence...

-Police officer admits that he used excessive force..
-Mayweather admits to ducking Pacman for fear of losing..
-Joe Flacco Super Bowl MVP

I guess if "Super Bowl Winning QB Trent Dilfer" can be used anything is possible
Flacco is a probably a top 10 quarterback.
He's not a game-manager like Dilfer (or Alex Smith). He can make the throws (short, middle and deep) and win the game. He made that gutsy check-down call on third and short in the fourth quarter.

You see this all the time in the NBA. Fouls called early will not be called late and the superstars always get the call. Raptors get screwed all the time because refs never call fouls in their favour.
