2006-2007 NHL Stanley Cup Predictions

I always love posts like this. Here are the teams that I think can win it. Buffalo, Carolina (giving the defending champs their due), Nashville, Anaheim, and San Jose.

My pick for the finals, Buffalo and SJ with a very tough series. SJ wins in the end in 7 games.

To think, when I started reading this thread, I thought Buffalo would win, shows how fast or how many times one can change his mind.

New York Islanders take over top spot in Atlantic
Should the Islanders win the Stanley Cup this season, Ted Nolan should and would be immortalized as the greatest coach in NHL. LOL!!!

i've noticed that there can be great rewards for picking selective times to be going against the grain in investing and hockey predictions...

the Hockey News, CNNsi, and TSN all predicted the Islanders to finish 15th in the east. now, i don't see a Stanley Cup this season for WANG, Nolan and the bad boys from the Island, Playoff appearance is becoming an even more possible reality.

but, to stay ahead of the Devils and the Rangers would be a feat unto itself.

Nothing has changed regarding Buffalo and Anaheim... except the one thing going against them is that they are the 2 most scouted teams in the league right now...

Carolina and San Jose definitely could sneak their way into the big game.

These teams are wearing the bulls eyes for the other competing teams. As the season comes along, the points will be harder to come by as other teams do enough studies to figure them out. If not, at this break neck pace, both Buffalo and Anaheim will be on route to over 120 points when the season ends.

It is too bad The Sabres do not play the Ducks during regular season. There is a chance they may not play each other in the Stanley Cup Finals if either one or both teams were eliminated earlier than expected. In the world of possibilities, anything is possible.
