*sigh *I cant believe I'm back here again
1.) Thank you for confirming which food was served at the restaurant .
2.) I wasn't trying to be racist . I was simply using a short term as NO ONE among my age group has a problem with me using it .
3.) I wasn't correcting smallestcocks English - I said it was old English and not relevant to today as the usage of the term "methinks" has significantly decreased over the years. Only time one hears about this term is when they are studying Shakespeare as many of you have pointed out
4.) I have no problem admitting I'm wrong - when indeed I did something wrong. I was not being racist in my post - you guys labelled me that way .
5.) I'm not saying I'm wrong for using the word - however if I did OFFEND anyone I am sorry - I was simply describing the ethnic groups that eat there.
Thai, as ive said you are generally a negative person. BTW the term SNOWFLAKE is also a derogatory term. So before you come at me for using the "p" word I suggest u take a look in the mirror.

I only did this because the OP is one of those and happy to scream racist all the time while constantly posting virtue signaling threads.
Perhaps it's changed but when I was growing up( and oh yes I grew up in a time of racism and homophobia. The jokes were cruel and so were the kids) Paki was the equivalent of the worst for whatever race term you want to compare it to.
Perhaps a younger generation is trying to reclaim it but to anyone over the age of 40 it's a horrific insult. And whatever your feeling are you need to take that into account.
I think Sweetiepie has a bit of an abrasive, in-your-face way of dealing with things. I agree that if she had just said, “Whoops. Sorry. I didn’t realize that was a racial epithet” that woulda been the end of it.
Instead...her response is more along the lines of, “I didn’t mean it as an insult so go fuck yourself”...So it elicits a different reaction from others.
I don’t think SweetiePie intended any harm with the p-word. I also think she kinda enjoys the debating back and forth and the whole “I’m an sp who stands up to men on a review board” personna. I just say good for her; go for it...LOL.

Eid is the last day of Ramadan. What you're trying to describe is iftaar. Iftaar is term used when ppl are breaking fast. It's still late though, as Iftaar happens at 845ish.
Going into a resto and yelling how it's great Paki food isn't the same as what Pixie was saying as you can see from her entire post she wasn't being racist. Shes giving way more context.

You’re right that Eid is the last day of Ramadan. My mistake.
It’s news to me that “Paki” is an innocuous contraction for ‘Pakistani,’ but you learn something new everyday. In no way did I think she was ‘being racist.’ It appeared to me that she may have inadvertently/mistakenly/accidentally sounded like one by writing that particular ‘short-form,’ but if there are appropriate situations to use that word, I’m interested in learning more.
Plus, she’s made it very clear that people in her generation use that word and it’s not offensive. Must just be a trigger-word for old X’rs like me.
I’m going to stick with PK or PAK, but I appreciate the intent of the lesson.

1) Rude (calling people names, abrasive, for differing opinions)
2) Illiterate (unfamiliar with rudimentary Old English)
3) Delusional (sees people "coming at her" - i.e. attacking her - when they're just correcting her mistakes for her benefit)
4) Undignified in defeat (wrong about words and their meanings but won't admit to it)
But these shortcomings are typical of youth. She will improve as time goes on.
