Typical myopic conservative visionless logic LL!
Further proof that myopia is indeed a dominant gene in conservatives/tories mindset!
bot, aka OTB, another myopic mental 'twin' like you couldn't have said it better.....LOL.
Sure your not really bot...... Lancie?.......;)

Taking that myopic logic seriously would mean that perhaps NASA should be eliminated also!
NASA fits rather nicely into the myopic model you construct!

I like you better when you're not around, at least then you don't sound like an idiot. Try it again for awhile.

Your anti-union bias is showing. So I won't bother arguing with you.;)
I'm a member of a union and I agree with Lans. The general public is subsidising the high wages that the autoworkers receive. Please show the charts where the taxpayers receive $3-4 dollars for every dollar invested by the gov't.

NASA should be eliminated. A total waste of money.

Well, just so you know Impala sales are up and outperforming the Chrysler 300 and the Oshawa plant that makes them is working overtime!
Theres 3 shifts there at a capacity of 1500 cars a day,so i doubt very much that the Charger is even on the radar screen.
Besides, none of you fuckers will be happy till you see everyone driving a fucking nip car will ya??
I don't think you understood my post. The Impalla sucks, and has since GM dumped the rear wheel drive version Impalla/Caprice, and police forces are opting for the "new" Charger. New York city alone is about 5000 police cars, with Chicago, Las vegas and other major cities jumping on board. So Impalla sales will drop. The Charger is a better car, and the OPP are moving towards a full replacement of the Impalla.

I drive a Mustang, so watch what you say about the rest of "us".

Several U.S. states were reportedly prepared to offer more than double that amount of subsidy. But Fedchun said much of that extra money would have been eaten away by higher training costs than are necessary for the Woodstock project.

He said Nissan and Honda have encountered difficulties getting new plants up to full production in recent years in Mississippi and Alabama due to an untrained - and often illiterate - workforce. In Alabama, trainers had to use "pictorials" to teach some illiterate workers how to use high-tech plant equipment.

:D
You have a good point. I have friends working for a GM sub-assembly supplier, and they had no trouble reaching rate on a new product, whereas their American sister plant still hasn't reached production rate after about 18 months, along with making parts that won't function. US quality control sucks, as well as productivity. Why else would Ontario manufacture more vehicles, and sub-assemblies than Michigan.

The name "Impala" is so old. It is enough to make me never buy that car! Sounds like something my grandfather drove! I like names like the Integra, Altima, Supra, Maxima, or even the BMW numbers sound better. Like if some chick asked you what you drove and you said an Impala, lmao! You might as well have said a Neon! Just too funny!!

In your opinion the Impala sucks but its a damn good car and ill give you some points for not being a rice burner fan like most of the ppl on here but still its YOUR opinion that the Charger is a better car, wheres your facts on all these opinions youve got anyway?
Prolly some of these police forces maybe getting Chargers simply because Ma Mopar is giving them a deal on them, not because its a better car.
Ive worked for GM for 32 yrs and i get fuckin tired of ppl comin on this board and running down the company or the products we make, and i will match up anything we make against anything else in the same class, but most of you are soo fuckin prejudiced against anything domestic, has to some fuckin import or you wont even consider it will ya??
Are you going to come to Fords defense when the import lovers start running Ford down and hoping they close up shop so the roads will be full of nothin but jap crap?

GM has come a long way in the last couple of years and really produces some acceptable quality. I don't buy the argument that the cars look outdated. If you were to put a Chevrolet label on the current Honda Civic people would say what a damn ugly car GM came out with, but since it is Honda everybody loves it.

I just think GM has to reduce some of its offerings and focus on winning designs. Too much overlap with Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Chevrolet. They need to trim these and focus on the Escalade, Solstice, Camaro, Corvette, CTS, Tahoe, G6 and forget about the rest. They should also incorporate more technology from Europe ie. Opel, Saab.

Good for you for working at GM, and having BRAND LOYALTY. I like the mid 90s Impala SS, just like I liked the mid 60s Impala SS. It had style, and showed muscle. I've owned a Monte Carlo, and loved the car. My disappointment with GM is the way they stripped the cars of any masculine look. The 82 Camaro/Firebird looks like a splitting wedge a woodsplitter would use. The 78 to 83? Monte/Cutlass/Grand Prix/Regal looked pale compared to the latter, Regal T, Grand National, Monte SS.

I hate friggin NASCAR for the same reason. For years, where was Chryslers' rear wheel drive V8? Why a Taurus or Intrepid or Lumina? Stock car racing was stock cars, not embellished knockoffs, that aren't the same shape, size, engine or drivetrain format.

I don't want a hundred LE coming on here saying the Impala sucks, and they prefer the Crown Vic even though she's sluggish. Ford quit selling the Crown Vic in Canada, yet they bring it in for the police.

I don't know what you drive, but I'll take rear wheel over front wheel any day. Every magazine article I've read states the Charger would make a better police cruiser, and the police forces that are buying it has nothing to do with Mopar giving deals.

You can call it "jap crap"... but why is GM no longer the #1 producer of autos in the world???... I think it is more like GM-crap

There are too many manufacturers and perhaps the world would be better off without the likes of the vehicles produced by GM and Ford in North America

It would not surprise me if Nissan or Toyota took over Ford and showed them how a company should be run .. and how to produce QUALITY

It is funny, when people talk about GM, they mention Oldmobile & Chev... what about Saturn?

GM is targetting the fleet sales with the Impalla and they seem to be making some early gains.
I just got a 2007 Impalla (company car) and I like it. My personal car is an Altima and I would say the GM is comparable.
Taurus will not be available after the current model year and Impalla hopes to fill the void.

The Woodstock plant construction is well underway and they will be building Rav 4's by the end of 2007. The majority of the job hiring process will take place at the Cambridge Toyota plant. I work at TMMC in Cambridge. Full time rate is currently $ 32.60 an hr. However we do work hard for it. Alot of guys that have come here from Big 3 plants find the pace much faster and the amount of elements within a process MUCH higher than the rate where they used to work. Overall it is a good job however and I would encourage anyone with an interest to go for it.

How come Kia has a 10yr warranty, Mitsubishi a 10 yr warranty, Honda Toyota, Nissan, all have 5 yr warrantys. Now Gm, Ford, Chrysler, have 3 yr warranty's. I saw that now Chevy finally has a 10 yr warranty, but why so late? They know don't wanna back their own cars or what?

When your own union members stopped buying your product you were in trouble 15 years ago.

You'll take the hourly line wage but you won't buy your own product. Sorry, if you don't support your own product why blame anyone else?
